Writing new songs really took the backseat while I was working on my Spanish degree. I kept up enough to play cute gigs (like these private concerts on the gondolas!) But I have really missed being in touch with that part of myself by @pidgemar

WHY THE SEA IS SALT (2026). Performance with musician/vocalist Margot St-Finch.

A retelling of a fairy tale of the same name, we used sculpted acoustic drone instruments, mandola, mandolin, tenor banjo, and voice to compose and perform an original score in a genre we're calling "experimental folk-noise". Performed at AS220 on 2/12/26, run time 45 minutes. Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show!

UPCOMING PERFORMANCE! My partner Margot St-Finch and I are working on a new project in what we're calling EXPERIMENTAL FOLK-NOISE STORYTELLING. One night only at AS220's Black Box in Providence Rhode Island on Thursday February 12th at 8pm. Expect fairytales, weird vocalizations, and yes, new hurdy-gurdies.

Concrete noise machine + eerie old ballads! My beautiful and talented fiancée Margot St-Finch lent her vocals to this track, "Poor Lad". More noise machines and vocal collaborations forthcoming =)

The song is an old traditional; here's one version of the lyrics:
"I am a poor lad whose fortune is bad
And I am misfortunate poor.
But do I intend my fortune to mend,
And to build a house out on the moor, my brave boys,

The farmer does keep fat oxen and sheep
And a neat little nag on the downs.
In the middle of the night when the moon does shine bright
