capturing a tree swallow in flight has been such a fun challenge! we first saw these guys during a very drizzly morning where there were dozens of tree and barn swallows getting their morning breakfast. we haven’t seen as many of them since, but i’ve gotten lucky with a few shots (particularly one where one of them landed right in front of me!!).

we woke up at 4am to spend the morning at scusset beach state reservation hoping we’d see a piping plover for the first time and we ended up seeing at least 10-20 of them! they were so cute and we had a couple run right at us when we sat down ^.^
