The last week walking back from the bus stop each morning 🥹🦊☕️ Me, my coffee & Foxy.

Kindergarten 📚 It’s been a big few days for both of us. 🤍

If you were to ask me how it is having my current youngest out of the house now too…. I’d probably say, “Oh wow… I can think!” 😂

But if you were to ask me on a deeper level…

I’d say this has truly been a big week of feelings for me too 🥹

Going from having my little sidekick with me daily … backseat chats, errand buddy, my shadow… 🫂 The one I’d walk to the bus stop with to meet his big brother & reunite…

To NOW greeting them both from the outside world. 🫶🏻

I’m also learning to adjust to this new phase and what I means for me too….. But, having my heart break a little when he tells me he cried on the bus that morning…. “small tears.” 🥹

Or when he asks me to walk to the other side of the bus so I can wave goodbye. 🤍

Or when he said.. “I’ll be thinking of you today, Mommy.” 🥲

While my soul is quietly crushing, I’m showing up for him. ✨

Cheering him on.
Hyping him up.
Making it feel like it’s going to be the BEST day ever.

Because it is and will be.

And maybe that’s the hardest part of motherhood … learning to hold your own feelings while making room for theirs🫶🏻

So I’ll keep walking home with my coffee and Foxy …. watching the bus pull away, reminding myself that he is growing 🦋 and that we’re both having growing pains in this new transition 🌿

But yeah…

I can think clearly now. Thanks for asking 🦋🤍

And just like that… a new school year and adventure begins !!!📚🚌 And another little piece of my heart is out there🫶🏻

A new 3rd grader!!! & a new sweet little kindergartener going out into the world 💛😭

Last week when we toured the school …. Niko told me that when he got out of the car, he was trying to be brave, but he was also scared - so that’s been our mantra this last week as we’ve prepared for this new transition 🫶🏻

And honestly, it’s become a little mantra for me, too🦋

A new change for them.
A new change for me.

Watching them step into new experiences and a little more of the world on their own is the greatest privilege EVEN when it ASKS ME to let go a little more than I’m ready for ✨

Be brave. Be scared. & go anyway 🦋

This journey has taught us to trust what we can’t always see ✨ take it one day at a time, and lean into our village who already love her with their whole hearts & to hold uncertainty AND hope at the same time 🫶🏻 and keep showing up.

She’s been brave from the very beginning and without even knowing it, she’s taught me to be brave too🫶🏻

Another chapter closes and a new one begins… our newest little grad! 🎓🥹 Goodbye to the preschool we’ve loved so much and hello kindergarten for Niko ✏️

Sometimes you don’t realize how meaningful a season of life is until you’re pulling away from it 🫶🏻 I’ve done the preschool drop off/ pickup how many times a day for how many years… and next year our mornings will be waiting for a bus 🚌

We are so thankful for our school community 🤍 the MOST amazing teachers (!!!) & caregivers / staff who helped shaped our boys during these precious years ✏️🍎

These milestones are equal parts joy and ache ✨Time is such a thief AND a gift all at once, and we’re so lucky to live them simultaneously 🤍 Swipe to the end to see the same spot … the same boys, just a little bigger & the graduates swapped 🎓🥹

** if I feel this way about PRE SCHOOL graduation.. can’t imagine high school 🙃

Happy 5th birthday to our sweet Niko 🦋 ! I can’t believe you’re a whole hand full now ✋🏻 and that the balloon says 5… when I swear it just said 1 for your first trip around the sun ✨

You are the sweetest soul🤍 always looking out for your friends, always sharing, and always wanting to keep up with your big brother. Foxy is never more than a foot away, and you’re happiest on our little family adventures 🦊

I cherish all the little treasures you bring me .. whether it’s rocks, flowers, or even a tiny roly poly you just had to show me 🙃 You make ordinary moments feel so special 🫶🏻 I love that we share our crisp Diet Cokes together 🥤 and one of my favorite things is hearing you say, “That was a really great day” because you truly find joy in the little moments 🫶🏻

You’ve grown so much, and this week feels extra special … turning 5, graduating preschool this week (!!!) and finishing your very last week there. Time does not seem to slow down, so I’ll do my best to keep up with you 💛

We love you to the moon and back. Cheers to 5 !!!

My beautiful boy. Turned 8 (!!!) My first baby 🤍 just sitting here and reminiscing.

How do we go from 8 days old to 8 years old 🥹 from first breaths to nearly double digits?
It feels like a blink!

A soft inhale… and suddenly here we are🤍

As we sing happy birthday to our children… celebrating who they are, and who they’re becoming 🌱 my heart drifts to the parents whose birth-day it is too 🤍

The cross over, the portal of creating life … and bringing life into the world 🌎 it is not lost on me just how special and blessed to have done so….

I already know …. when I’m 80, this is where my mind will go and play on loop for both of my sweet boys 🔁🥹

This year… a sweet & magical moment occurred and it dawned on me … As we sang happy birthday, Aunt @cassidycarre brought out the cake 🎂who was in the room the night you were born.
 with Logan growing in her belly 🤍
And now … 8 years later, we sit together at one round table. 
A quiet evening. Just a few of us 🌙 So much like the night you arrived.
Cousins born 3 days apart. Growing side by side.

Although we have been growing together now for 8 years.

It somehow… it all feels serendipitous 🫶🏻

Cheers to 8. To 8 years of you. Of us. Of all of us, growing together 🌿

Happy Halloween! 🤍🍂👻🎃🍫 with the holiday season upon us … I always love doing little traditions.

My seven year old asked me this morning if I was going to decorate the kitchen table with the “black table cloth” … and yes.. yes I am 🥰 can’t wait for them to get home!
