To our loyal customers:

Consider this shots fired.

Piece owns @brobagel, one of our City’s great bagel bakeries baking kettle-boiled crunchy and chewy authentic NY bagels located next door to us since 2014.

Our history in the bagel business dates back to 1983 when my brothers Andy, Pete, Steve and I moved to Chicago from our hometown of New Haven, Connecticut, to bring our authentic New York bagels. Chicago needed them. We built Jacobs Bros. Bagels, Chicago’s premier bagel bakery chain.

Call Your Mother Bagels opened yesterday on Damen around the corner from us, backed by private equity. I ask that you support @brobagel, a locally owned business that bakes with love for you, and gives back to the community as part of our mission—while enjoying the very best bagels in Chicago.

Say yes to locally own, and to businesses that support your community.

Thank you for your support today and over the years. Along with the Brobagel and Piece teams, I appreciate you.

Bill Jacobs

25 years ago today, Piece opened its doors.
Today, we celebrate the incredible people who have made Piece what it is — the team members who mix, stretch, top, and bake our New Haven pizza, brew award-winning beer, pour your drafts, serve our guests, and care for every corner of this restaurant.

We are incredibly fortunate to have the best team in the business.

Thank you for 25 years of loyalty and for being part of the Piece family.

The Apple Pizza is BACK!

Our annual fall favorite has returned! A white pizza topped with melty mozzarella, thinly sliced Honeycrisp apples, Gorgonzola, and toasted walnuts, finished with a drizzle of hot honey. Sweet, savory, creamy, crunchy, and just the right amount of heat. It’s fall on a pizza!

Have a walnut allergy? Just ask for yours without walnuts.

Available for a limited time only. Come get your slice of fall at Piece!

@piecechicago has been crushing the pizza game in Chicago with their New Haven style pizza for 25 years.

It’s a neighborhood staple but you can also order it on @goldbelly if you’re outta town.

Had some college friends in with their kids, I mean, who doesn’t love pizza.

Started the meal with the piece green salad with field greens, grape tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, sliced pears and topped with gorgonzola cheese and candied pecans. I love a good salad and I couldn’t stop eating this one.

Then we ordered a large red sauce with pepperoni and half was fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes and basil with pepperoni. We also tried a small white pizza with potatoes, bacon, scallions, romano cheese, rosemary and rosemary infused olive oil drizzled over the top. Everything was great and the crust on this pizza is nice and crunchy and chewy, reminds me of deck style pizza.

People often tell us that Piece feels like family.

For the Lopez family, it really is.

Ismael and Jose Lopez were part of the opening team at Piece 25 years ago. Since then, nine members of their family have worked here, giving more than 100 years of combined service.

Their brother Francisco has been here 20 years; Ismael’s son Carlos,15; their cousin Ruth, 13; Ismael’s son Jordi, 10; his daughter Karen, 6; Jose’s wife Marina, 4; Ismael’s wife Adriana, 2; and their nephew Jose, 2.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Lopez family for 25 years of hard work, dedication, and for becoming such an important part of the Piece family.
