Music will be provided by none other than @santosounds a Chicano music historian and vinyl collector spinning oldies and setting the mood into the sunset.

✨🫂✨🫂Throwing it back to their grand opening at Piel Canela (@pielcanelatx )a Northside Houston studio offering tattoos and massage services. The space is led by women and nonbinary artists from minority backgrounds, creating something deeply personal and intentional 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Piel Canela centers care, identity, and community. It is a space where people can come in, feel safe, and leave with something meaningful, whether that is a tattoo or a moment of healing through touch.

Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting our first studio guest and friend @pinche_kid !

Was such a joy having a full house in the space. It truly felt so alive! 🤩

Muchísimas gracias a todos who shared this beautiful first event with us!

Barrios Moves was a moment we all got to share and enjoy and we’ll never forget it.

The crowd was perfect and everyone was there to truly just have a good time and be with community. Something all our hearts needed.

A huge shoutout to all the vendors, djs, and everyone in between who made the day special.

We can’t wait to get the next one set for y’all but for now let’s just reminisce a bit with this amazing video from @nickromerofilms

Barrio Moves is here! This time to officially welcome Piel Canela to the community. We are so excited to gather, eat, drink, dance, laugh and share with y’all!

We have carefully selected a variety of small businesses and vendors to create the cutest little market.

Obviously, we had to have music by the one and only @icehouseradio more specifically our ears will be blessed by @earthtoreia , @anafromhouston , @kakoparra_ , @santosounds and @elturko_sonidero

THE TIME IS NOW!

In life we make plans but ultimately it’s not up to us. So we learn to be open to change and adapt to the situation that is presented to us.

With that being said our original space requires a little more more TLC. So we became chameleons and found a new home for the time being.

Piel Canela is a safe space where three (for now) like-minded individuals come together to create and share their crafts.

Our first post of 2025! This space will be located in the heart of the Northside. A proud locally owned business that provides space for other small businesses to thrive.

As the Northside continues to change and grow we want to make sure we plant our roots and we make ourselves seen. We welcome change and growth in our neighborhoods but our community should be able to have access to that very same opportunity.
