The artists of the Noonan Building at Pier 70 unlock their studios this weekend. That’s right, it's time for Noonan Unlocked. Oct. 10 and 11, 11am - 6pm. Right here at Pier 70. In collaboration with ArtSpan and Pier70SF, this community of artists is part of "Weekend Three" of Open Studios. Come explore this historic building, engage in the creative process, meet these working artists. The following is just a small sampling of some of the artists opening their doors: 1. The atrium inside #BLDG12 at Pier 70 is always crackling with creativity. 🎨 Thanks to @3rdSt_sfscreativeartery, now inviting you to take a closer look at artist Terry Tsu’s (@terrytsu.art) remarkable COVID-era project: 50 self-portrait collages created in 50 days during the disorienting fall of 2020. Join this informal gathering, part artist talk, part hands-on creative session, starting at the PAPER WORKS exhibit, where 22 of Terry’s collages are currently on view. Meet the artist, hear the story behind the project, then head up to the deck for a closer look at Terry’s technique—and a chance to create a self-portrait collage of your own. ✂️🖼️ No experience needed. Just bring yourself, a selfie and a little creative curiosity. Whatever brings you our way, you MUST stop by the Atrium space inside #HistoricBuilding12.⁠ ⁠ Curator, gallery, presenter and all 'round master-mind 3RD ST CREATIVE ARTERY (@3rdst_sfscreativeartery) presents its latest exhibition: PAPER WORKS, a show that pairs works on paper by artist, poet, publisher, and activist Lawrence Ferlinghetti with works on paper and works made with paper by 8 artists who have a connection to 3RD ST, as well as “paperwork” related to the shipbuilding past of Pier 70 and environs.⁠ ⁠ It's a delightful collection and you'll be glad you came by.
