POSTS STORIES REELS

With many new people joining my social networks, this feels like a good moment to (re)introduce myself.

I’m Piero Flor Baets, almost 40, living life to the fullest. I cherish my friends, family, foster daughter, and intimate connections. Nature, travel, woodwork, pole dancing, babysitting my nephew, and Turkish breakfasts on Sundays bring me joy. A spiritual seeker and mystic lover, I identify as genderqueer and use no pronouns, embracing both my masculine and feminine sides—or sometimes neither.

As an Intimacy Coach and Embodied Changemaker, my mission is to bring more healthy consensual intimacy into the world. Everyone deserves physical touch, fulfilling s.exlives, care, and love.

I offer 1-on-1 counselling for individuals and couples facing challenges in relationships or intimacy. I also provide cuddle sessions for those exploring touch, nourishment, boundaries, and consent.

Through group work, I create safe, welcoming spaces with Cuddle Workshops, Intimate Dancings (with Joke De Winde), and Sensual Play Nights to explore connection, healing touch, and authentic intimacy. I also offer tailored modalities for organisations and companies.

My approach is rooted in strong ethics—prioritising inclusion, intersectionality, solidarity, honesty, and responsibility. The goal is to reduce harm and foster warmth, mutual care, and love. Most importantly, may we all feel seen, no matter our pain.

Living what I teach, I explore intimacy, consent, and relationships in my own life. I’m not perfect, with both golden sides and shadows, and I embrace mistakes as opportunities for learning and growth.

If these topics resonate, stay connected. I regularly share insights and opportunities to explore intimacy, connection, personal growth, and collective healing. Whether through writing, workshops, or 1-on-1 guidance, I welcome you to engage in a way that feels right for you.

Enough about me—now I’m curious where you connect with these ideas. What resonates with you?

Which sense are you most curious to wake up?

When I joined Studio noXcuse, I heard about a show. One the students take part in. Somehow that idea awoke something in me. The school was full of photos from previous shows, but I never paid them much attention. Probably because the idea still scared me. Taking part in a show. Not just ‘a’ show. A pole dance show.

“The show isn’t happening this year,” they said. So I put the idea back in the fridge. Oof. But then one day, the announcement came. “We’re doing a show next year.” My heart took a leap. Should I? Can I? Do I dare? Am I ready? Am I good enough?

After a lot of thinking, doubting and hesitating, I said YES!

And what a journey it’s been. I landed in a beautiful group of beings who took me along with them. Most had more experience than me, in choreography, in dance, on the pole. I felt grateful for their dedication, creativity and support. Amazing people.

Still, the hesitation stayed. I didn’t have time. I was too busy. I didn’t practice enough. I had a difficult spring, struggling at times with anxiety. But there were always peers who pulled me along. Who gave advice and encouraged me. They carried me through.

And last September, the time came. The scariest part was showing our performance to the whole team of teachers. I was shaking. My heart pounded out of my chest. I made so many little mistakes. But there was no way back.

The technical walkthrough, the avant-première, and then the big day. I was most nervous about my foster daughter and my mum. How would they look at it? What would they think?

During those show days I had so much fun. I connected with so many beautiful people. I learned to do my own makeup. I dared to stand on stage and show myself vulnerable. And what I’m most proud of: I brought my old teenage hobby back to life on the pole. Juggling three clubs while hanging from it. I loved weaving different talents into one.

So grateful for an amazing Cirque team, for the teachers and volunteer staff who encouraged us. And special thanks to Tine, for building such a beautiful community and creating something this beautiful together with us.

This week I received some heartfelt feedback from loved ones. When I came home from our conversation, I felt a strange sense of inner peace. It wasn’t so much the challenging message itself, but the love it was carried with, that gave me the feeling everything was in the right place. I felt seen. I felt cared for. I felt loved.

From that place, I felt a need to reflect and slow down. To look at my priorities and my focus. To take care of what needs taking care of, both in my personal and professional life.

One of the things I realised I needed was a short break from hosting events. So I cancelled both ‘Feeling Your Yes’ in Gent and ‘Intimate Dancing’ in Hasselt this weekend, and together with Lavinia, we postponed The Cabinet of Curiosities to a later date. Not a decision I take lightly, because I care for you, the beautiful crowd that comes to my workshops. But self-care matters just as much. And to be fully present with you, I needed to slow down. Or at least a little 🙃.

So I have a ‘free’ weekend now. It feels like a long time since I entered a weekend without a clear plan or an event on the agenda. It’s good to have that sometimes too 🙂. It has a grounding, relaxing effect on my nervous system. I’m grateful for that.

I’m grateful for what life teaches me. For the lessons. For the ongoing journey of practicing what I preach. And still, I believe the practice, and the mistakes that come with it, matters more than how we talk about it.

One of the biggest challenges I meet on my own journey is the fear of not being responsible enough. The fear of disappointing or hurting others by walking my own path. The fear of judgment, or of putting my reputation at risk. Choosing to cancel these events from a place of inner peace has been a powerful way to face that fear and move toward healing within.

Whenever you read this, I wish you a free weekend too, and the chance to slow down and take care of yourself.

On the photo: me finally fixing my Brompton, my foldable bike that’s been broken for over a year and a half. Sometimes slowing down means tending to the small things you kept putting off. 🙂

Q&A: Does The Awakening unfold in different parts? 🖤

Yes, and you can choose how much of it you step into.

The Prelude Salon: Stir & Surrender (4-6:30pm) is where it begins. A guided playful sensual opening to land in your body, meet others, and build the trust and consent that carry the whole day. This is where strangers become a room that feels safe.

The Night Program (8pm-2am) is where it deepens. An opening ceremony, consent play, sensual performances, and then the Play Night: space to explore, connect and surrender at your own pace, always held by our team.

Two ways to join:
🌙 Night ticket, for the evening only
🎟️ Combi ticket, for the full arc, Prelude Salon + Night

Our tip? The combi. The Salon is what makes the night so safe to let go into.

🎟️ Last tickets via the link in bio.

Some doors only open once. 🖤

Saturday, the House opens for The Awakening. A night of movement, connection and sensual freedom, held with great care from the first breath to the last.

There is still room, and still time to say yes. To your curiosity, to your body, to the version of you that wants to feel alive. Come as you are, open and unhurried. You belong here.

If something in you is leaning toward the door, trust it. We would love to welcome you.

Tickets via the link in our bio.
See you Saturday. 🗝️

Had a beautiful experience last week on the Mannenfestival in Belgium.

Hosted a Sensual Play Exploration at the Intimacy Field, as well as an introductory sharing workshop on gender, lgbtqia+ and inclusion.

Grateful for the many beautiful encounters, vulnerable sharings, acts of support and words of love.

Note: these are my personal photos, the official photos of the festival still follow...

I've been thinking about Greece and Turkey. So much history between them, so much that's woven together, and yet each writes its own version of the same painful past. Two cultures, side by side, carrying wounds separately instead of turning toward each other.

It saddens me. Because underneath the borders and the stories, there's a shared humanity waiting to be met. What could heal if we chose to remember together, instead of apart?

I don't share this to point fingers. I share it as a small hope. That reconciliation is possible. That two sides can one day build something together, rather than guard the gap between them.

Maybe it starts the same way healing always does: by daring to turn toward each other.

Where in your own life could you turn toward someone, instead of away?

On general request, a reel in my mother tongue.

Do you also feel how much a single touch can mean?

Some people receive almost no tender touch in their lives. We rarely talk about it, but it's more common than we think.

Every month I visit Mariette as a cuddle coach. Recently she wrote me a card to thank me. Those few words touched me deeply. They reminded me why this work matters so much: everyone deserves to be seen and touched in a warm, safe way.

When were you last touched with real tenderness? Wanneer werd jij voor het laatst met tederheid aangeraakt?

Mannenfestival - The Men's Festival (26-30 August)

Last year I joined for the first time. Curious, hesitant, a little anxious, excited. As a male-presenting non-binary person, I wondered too: will I feel welcome here? And what an experience it was.

I felt welcomed. I was held, supported and smiled at, again and again. I witnessed men dancing like warriors, and dancing intimately with each other. I held men while they cried their hearts out. I guided a sharing circle of ten brave souls that later became my monthly men's circle. And I was touched by the thirty courageous men who joined my Sensual Play Exploration: different se.xual orientations and gender experiences, sharing something deeply intimate together.

And yet there's work to do. How can the festival become more inclusive to queer men, gender-diverse men, men with disabilities, men of colour? How will it relate to the bigger challenges of our time: climate change, racism, ge.nocide and (neo)colonisation? Healthy masculinity also asks us to speak up and stand up for justice.

This year it's happening soon, and there are still spots if it pulls you. I'll be hosting two workshops:

Sensual Play Exploration (intimacy and touch related)
Man en meer: een open blik op gender (exploring masculinity and gender diversity today)

I wrote a longer, more personal reflection about my first year. You'll find the full piece on my Facebook.
