A vacation for me would not be complete without drawing my dogs, and only my dogs haha. I really wanted to draw my petiti at the “saute de la brame”, a local stream from the river gartempe we frequent a lot. Lara is obsessed with water and fish by the way, can’t take her anywhere near a body of water. 💦 and for a nice change Roudi decided to conquer the river too. Illustration-wise I decided to render this a bit more like I used to do before and really it’s popping!!+ some scetches i did.
(That’s my sister @_limke._ on slide 2 🤫)

Something else for a change, my cat! This was a quick 2 hour challenge where I wanted to try and find back the very vibrant and colourfull vibe I used to love in my illustrations. I’m actually really proud of this, i think it just goes crazy in such a good way. Also the snake is just my spirit animal at this point.

The big day has come, today i’m getting the surgery (lower jaw surgery) that i have been stressing about for 4 years.
Am i nervous? Ofcourse I am, but I decided to make a little comic explaining the process. I hope it is a bit educational, makes me feel better while I sleep off the surgery.

I will probably be out this week, but starting next week i hope to be among the living again.🦷🏥

Such a special moment: my very own rescue dogs are starring in a book! 🐾✨

Remember them? They we're dumped as puppies on the highway.🚘😵‍💫

In the new young adult novel 'Mol' by Marthe Pierón, two of our rescue dogs play a role. It’s a beautiful, honest story about friendship and survival, where the unconditional love of dogs provides a much-needed ray of hope.❤️

Why you should read it📚:

• Raw & Real: A gripping look at the lives of youth living on the streets.

• The Power of Dogs: See how rescue dogs truly make a difference in a person's life.🐶🥰

• Local Pride: A powerful book by a top talent.
Curious about the story (and our stars)? Order 'Mol' now at your local bookstore or online. Highly recommended! 📖👇

😉@zieeeej

Hopelijk tot een volgend marktje!

I did a little “what can I draw” research last week into tiny statues from early medieval and prehistoric times, more specifically focusing on some indigenous pieces. Pretty cool stuff.
I fell in love with these little fishermen statuettes that are holding bears, I think? Either that or they just got very big cats over there.🤪

De Clo Clo Collectie presenteert...
MOL

~vacation illustration vlog~

After arriving at our home in France, the cold and snow quickly followed. I’m not the biggest fan of all that cold stuff, but Lara? Oh, Lara could spend the whole day outisde in weather like this.
So as the good dog-parent I am, we went on walks near forest paths around us. We did some discoveries together on these walks too, Lara found Hog trails, I found out that Labubu’s are heavy weather proof and so on. And, afterwards we both spend the rest of our time squeezed together on the couch enjoying the wood stove. That’s the life, right?

Winter is almost here and so are my sweater weather blues.❄️

It’s that time of the year again where I open my closet and see my 50 shades of knitted beige, grey and dull colours which make me deeply long to those bright and happy shades of the summer that just passed.

Maybe all this is a sign that I haven’t picked up on yet to knit my own colourfull sweaters to shoo away these feelings, if only i had the patience😭 or at least look up a store that sells sweaters that i like .
