🇮🇹 IDUTYDU BLOW UP REVIEW 🇮🇹

“We’re a few months late with two reviews of albums from Carton Records, a French label that truly deserves all the attention it can get.
Four voices, tuba, and toy synth (Fanny Meteier); melodica and electronics (Andrea Giordano); acoustic and electric guitar (Pierre Pradier); drums and electronics (Marco Luparia, whom we’ve already written about in BU#298): this is the lineup for FRANTX debut, an international, avant-garde kaleidoscope that claims to move somewhere between Hello Kitty and Anthony Braxton.
Setting aside a few potentially drawn-out moments and some passages that aren’t always fully in focus, the album surprises with its freshness and welcomed madness: an inspired, seven-track offspring of a quartet bold—even brazen—enough to truly mix everything together, from improvised outbursts to Animal Collective-style pop sparkles, weird outbursts and scribbles, freedom in and from form, noise-pop candies, industrial rust, avant-garde flashes, extended techniques, unorthodox amplification, glitch outbursts, electronic expansions, jazz lightning bolts, and so on and so forth—from Providence to the headquarters of some conservatoire occupied by 4.0 freaks. On Bandcamp, they describe themselves as a Paris-based glit-noise band that creates music in a hyper-fast dimension where individualities merge, immersed in post-internet sonic drifts. Sounds for dancers with weird legs, searching for new ways to listen and dream. We’re very curious to see them live (a tour is in the works—we hope they’ll make it to our rundown country too): on record, they’re very, very, very promising. [7.9]”

Les classes de guitare de Caroline Delume (CRR de Versaille), Jérémy Jouve (CRR de Paris), Bruno Pancek et Odile Popot (CRR de Boulogne) présentent un concert dédié à la musique contemporaine pour guitare(s)

Le programme comprend des pièces de Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber, Maurizio Pisati, Toru Takemitsu, Tom Johnson...

Ainsi qu'une nouvelle composition pour ensemble de 7 guitares : "Kekereke" pour 3 guitares classiques, 2 guitares folks et 2 guitares électriques.
