POSTS STORIES REELS

I asked God to deal with someone who offended me a few years ago, and this happened. 👇🏾

So, a few years ago, as an amateur graphics designer, I got my first gig. I was very excited!

We agreed on a particular amount. My first mistake was undercharging him.

I requested an upfront payment before sending the client the design, but he assured me that he’d send the money once I sent the flyer he wanted me to design.

And I agreed.

That was one of the worst business decisions I ever made.

Don’t blame me yet. What do you expect from someone who had just finished a graphics design course? I mean, an amateur one at that. 😂

I did all I could to ensure that I delivered excellently. And finally, I sent the flyer.

He really commended my design but requested a few corrections, which I worked on.

Then he sent just 40% of the money we initially agreed on and started telling me touching stories about how business wasn’t moving well, bla bla bla.

I kept disturbing him for my balance, and he eventually blocked me on WhatsApp.

In anger, I rained curses on him.

But that wasn’t all.

In my quiet time, I told God:

“Deal with Mr. Chidi severely. Let him be struck with a strange sickness or something bad that cannot be solved naturally.

He will run up and down in search of a solution but won’t find any. He’ll finally run to a pastor, and that’s when it will be revealed that he’s suffering because he offended me.

Do this, O God, to the glory and praise of your name. In Jesus’ Name. Amen."

Looking back now, I can’t help but laugh at how I packaged that prayer.

I stumbled on his Facebook page sometime later and resumed disturbing him for my money.

At a point, I stopped addressing him as “sir”. I remember telling him, “Oga, pay me my money joor!”

Meanwhile, I was waiting to hear that something terrible had happened to him.

But you see, most times, those who wait for other people’s downfall usually wait in vain.

Days passed. Months passed. Years passed.

I heard nothing about him except that his Facebook page was restricted at some point, but he eventually got it back.

“Carousels are for graphic designers, not me.”
That thought made me run from carousel posts. 😂
I thought creating beautiful carousel designs was a skill reserved for graphic designers. I didn’t see it as something I could do myself.
Then in May 2026, I discovered that I could use ChatGPT to create carousel slides. I was excited until I saw the result of my first attempt. The slides were blurry!
This was because I had generated all the slides at once and had to crop them individually to make them stand alone. The result wasn’t exactly what I had imagined.
But I kept trying.
At some point, I discovered a website called Clipdrop that could help make my images clearer. I was glad! I used it for a while, and it helped.
Until September…
I discovered that I could use Gemini to generate my carousel slides individually. I tried it, and the result was beautiful!
Of course, Gemini still has its moments. Sometimes, it gets the details wrong, but my experience so far has been encouraging.
Then I stumbled upon a post about creating carousel designs that look less AI-generated by drawing inspiration from Pinterest.
I tried that approach, too.
And the results? THEY ARE GIVING!! 🔥
Looking back at my carousel designs from May to October 2026, I can see the difference. Not just in the quality of the slides but also in how much I’ve learned about the process.
Now, here’s what I’ve learned from this experience.
Sometimes, what we say we are not good at is just something we haven’t learned how to do yet.
Of course, not everything is for everybody, and not every skill must be learned by everyone. There’s also nothing wrong with hiring a professional when you need one.
But before you rule something out completely, it might be worth asking yourself: Have I tried learning it, or have I already decided I can’t do it?
For me, learning to create carousel posts with ChatGPT, Gemini, and inspiration from Pinterest has been a journey of trying, making mistakes, discovering better methods, and improving along the way.

Your social media page can look busy and still leave people wondering what your business is really about.

You’re posting every day, creating beautiful designs, sharing videos, and trying to stay consistent. But do people understand what your business is about?

Sometimes, the issue isn’t how often you post. There may be something important your content is not communicating.

And that’s worth paying attention to.

If you own a business or manage one’s social media, this is a conversation worth having.

Review the slides to uncover the real problem.

What would happen to your content if someone took 30 days to think through it, not just post it?

If I were managing your content for 30 days, there are certain things I’d pay attention to before deciding what goes on your page.

And no, my first move wouldn’t be what you might expect.

From understanding your audience to knowing what your content should actually achieve, there’s a lot that happens behind a well-managed social media page.

Let’s just say, creating a content calendar is only part of the job.

“Doctor!” Uduak’s shaky voice echoed in the reception.

“How’s my wife? How’s the baby? Is everything okay? She has been in there for almost two hours. What’s going on?” he asked anxiously.

“Sir, please calm down. Let’s talk about this in my office,” Dr. Greg responded.

Together, they walked into the office. Uduak could barely sit still.

“So, what’s wrong with my wife?” he demanded.

Dr. Greg adjusted his glasses and let out a breath.

“Your wife has been in labour for some time, and our assessment shows that the baby may be too large to pass safely through the birth canal. This is called cephalopelvic disproportion (CPD).

“Based on her condition, we recommend a Caesarean section (CS) to deliver the baby safely and reduce the risk of complications for both mother and child.”

Uduak stared at him in shock.

“A Caesarean section? God forbid! Is there no other way?” he blurted.

“Sir, we need to prioritise the safety of your wife and baby. Based on our findings, a CS is the safest option, and please, it’s a matter of urgency,” the doctor answered with a serious look.

But Uduak wasn’t ready to accept that answer.

“My mother gave birth to all my siblings and me without CS. In fact, all the women in our parish gave birth normally. The same God who did it for them will do Chika’s own!”

Somehow, his parents and in-laws found out. They pleaded with him to allow Chika to undergo the operation, but he wouldn’t listen.

“Where’s your faith in God? No razor will touch my wife. She will deliver like the Hebrew women!” he would always respond.

One afternoon, while scrolling through Facebook, Uduak came across a video of a woman who had reportedly been scheduled for a Caesarean section but eventually delivered normally after her husband and some church members prayed for her.

The comment section was filled with testimonies and praises.

Uduak held on to that testimony.

If God did it for her, He will do it for Chika.

And he wasn’t wrong to believe that God could do it.

But he had made up his mind about how the miracle must happen.

As Chika’s labour pains intensified, she pleaded with him to allow her to have the operation.

PIE’S TRYBE IS ONE! 🎉

PIE’S TRYBE turned ONE on October 22, and although I’m celebrating a little late, I couldn’t let this milestone pass without telling the story of how it all began.

Sometimes, the things that become meaningful to us begin with moments we almost overlook.

A year ago, someone sent me a message after viewing my WhatsApp status. She said something that struck me (not her exact words though):

“I was about to ask why you haven’t been posting on WhatsApp, and then you posted.”

I don’t think she knew how much that message meant to me.

It made me realise something: people were paying attention to my WhatsApp status, even when I wasn’t always aware of it.

Somewhere in that moment, a thought I had been nursing for a while came alive again and I said to myself:

“It’s time to open my WhatsApp channel.”

And that’s how PIE'S TRYBE was born.

We started from 0 followers, grew to 12, and today, we’re 50! 🥳

Now, I know 50 might not sound like a lot in a world where people celebrate thousands and millions. And yes, we are still growing.

But I’m actively learning to appreciate the little beginnings, too.

Because behind every number are people who have chosen to give a part of their attention to something I’m building. And in a world where everyone and everything is competing for that attention, I don’t take it for granted.

From zero to 50. One year of learning, sharing, and building. And hopefully, many more years of meaningful growth ahead.

Now, here’s something else I’ve come to realise: PIE’S TRYBE is no longer just a WhatsApp channel to me.

It’s a growing community where I share real stories, honest reflections, faith-filled insights, and practical lessons about life, relationships, communication, writing, storytelling, creativity, and content strategy.

It’s a space for people who want to understand life a little better, grow in their faith, become more intentional about how they live and relate with others, and improve at what they do.

Sometimes, you’ll find a story that makes you see things differently. Other times, you’ll find a lesson to reflect on, a practical tip to apply, or an idea that helps you communicate your thoughts 👇🏾 by @piestrybe

What if the very thing protecting you from another fall is also keeping you from standing again?

Baby Esther’s story reminds us that healing takes time, trying again takes courage, and sometimes, the people who love us may hold us back because they’re afraid of seeing us hurt again.

But what happens when fear begins to hold us back?

Read Baby Esther’s story. You might see a little of yourself in it.

Your first sentence might be the reason people never reach your best one.

You can have something valuable to say and still lose people before you get to the good part.

Maybe your story is not boring.

Maybe your lesson is not irrelevant.

Maybe your first sentence just needs a little more thought.

Because a strong opening isn’t about being dramatic or trying too hard to get attention. It’s about giving people a reason to stay.

And sometimes, the words you need are already there. You just need to start differently.

Let’s talk about the first sentence in this carousel.

P.S. Share this with a writer who begins their posts with “In today’s world...” 🌝

Happy New Week 🎉

Sometimes, we are eager to hear the truth until we hear something we weren’t prepared for.

How prepared are we to handle the things we often pray for, the responsibilities we carry, and the people God brings our way?

Because knowing what is right and having the emotional capacity to respond rightly are two different things.

Let’s talk about it in this carousel.

What are your thoughts on this? Share them in the comments. 👇🏾

I used to think every good idea needed to be posted.

But some ideas need time. Some need a different platform. And some are better kept between you and God.

The real work is knowing the difference without using “discernment” as an excuse to keep postponing what you should be doing.

Because yes, not everything needs to be shared. But that doesn’t mean everything should be hidden.

Swipe through. Let’s talk about this.

Have you ever read someone’s content and thought, “This doesn’t even sound like them?”

Or have you seen a good message, but somehow it didn’t connect with you?

There’s a reason that happens, and it goes beyond grammar or choosing the right words.

Let’s talk about it in this carousel. Go through the slides and tell me in the comments which one stood out to you.
