My first time seeing my book in the Victoria Public Library! I’m featured as one of the emerging local authors this year. I went by to ask about setting up a live reading today. I had a lovely woman come up to me at Otherworld and tell me her kids are obsessed with my book and that made me really happy. I heard again today that kids often want to read it twice. Making books for kids isn’t a plan to be financially rich, I choose this path because I want to inspire kids to believe in themselves and see that life can be whatever we choose for our path. Witnessing their little minds be blown as they see my book for the first time or hearing about their joy within those lessons is a happy bonus benefit. My happy place is doing art in nature with people I adore. It was the best part of my summer last year and feels like it nourishes my inner child so deeply. This is definitely my favourite painting from my book @pigsreallycanflybooks it took me 170hrs and was created on Haida Gwaii while I was living with so many incredible birds for company ! It’s a reminder that the universal truth is within ourselves, and to take a look at the reality we create within our perspective. Ive had so many people offer to buy this one from me and I’m almost ready to let it go! I’m offering free 8x11 prints for the holidays with every direct purchase from me of a copy of my book. Larger prints are available for order if anyone is interested. My book is also available on Amazon, but no free prints and stickers with that. Inspire the people in your life to follow their dreams, and take steps to create your own dream come true. Make memories with those you love, and leave the world a better place than you found it. That’s why I created my book and I love that it’s out there bringing families closer together, inspiring everyone to bravely create hope and plan their dreams to come true. I love that my life and artwork is anything but ordinary, it’s been a roller coaster but I’m so grateful I get to live this life. I’m in a place of deep self acceptance for not being normal, softening into compassionate self love with permission to take up space and share more of my work. Self love comes in many forms and I’m very passionate about it. Last summer to support my nervous system I decided to live in my van and paint in nature all over the west coast. It was epic. Now as I am grounded in my new space reflecting on the memories I’m going to continue my nature painting adventures and sharing more of my work with everyone. Believe it or not I started this painting in 2023 at the beginning of the year of the dragon, long before I had learned about @fourthwing.series a book about a disabled girl named Violet who has a golden dragon. 🤣 I love that it exists and is epic, I hope this painting is appreciated by the fans. Apparently there’s a show too! @fourth_wing_show !
