Material certifications are crucial when it comes to claiming that fashion products contain recycled ingredients. The materials utilized, including rubber and each strand of yarn, have been certified by:

1. Global Recycled Standard (GRS)
The GRS certification guarantees that a product contains high percentages of recycled materials, verified through a chain of custody, and ensures social and environmental standards are met throughout the production process.

2. OEKO-TEX®️ Standard 100
OEKO-TEX®️ STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.

Footwear is one of the world’s major industries. In fact, most shoes are produced using unsustainable and mixed materials that do not contain any natural molecules, making them unable to biodegrade on their own and taking 1,000 years to decompose in landfills.

Pijakbumi exists to implement more responsible sourcing and a sustainable supply chain from the beginning of the product’s life cycle to the end of its life.

To create a circular ecosystem, we encourage creative recycling as an integral part of our waste management systems. This not only diverts tons of material waste from landfills but also reduces the use of virgin materials.
