Holy Hell! 😈

Despite our best efforts on Easter Sunday, sweet Baby Jesus has ascended once again.

Nevertheless, you can now relive our heathenous ritual remotely via the cosmic rays of the Internet.

First, an hour of Chillout Trance, Trip Hop, abstract Jazz, Balearic Funk as well as Disco and Downtempo Oddballs straight from wax by yours truly, followed up by @pijujini's selection of Breaks, Dub, and what might be one of the best closing tracks ever (?!).

Find out for yourself, link in bio! 😇 by @pijujini

💿 From Berlin, Jini Piju @pijujini — part of @diskoflausch crew that offer music, waffles and nonsense like a colorful bag of candy wholesome, sugary, and sexy; and resident at @cashmere_radio celebrating community and experimental broadcasting — delivers “Between After Hour & Rave” who walks the fine line between techno and house, wanting to stay outside the box. The tracklist smashes together ’90s classics and fresh cuts, sparking a dialogue between house roots and its fearless new form. It’s deep, techy, garagey, and bass-heavy — remixes flipping icons, underground gems pushing the scene forward.

💬 «What I love most about House music: it’s vocal. It literally communicates, it talks to you, it’s sexy, it’s queer, it’s blooming, it’s grooving, it opens up. And that’s also how I like to see a crowd. House is about layers and side quests – not labels. Not a one way street. This mix is special to me, because I got the chance to transport what I like most about DJing & House.»

✨ Ready to feel the house speak — raw, sexy, and endlessly grooving?

It’s true. I am not only alive in real life - I can also prove it with pictures on social media.

The best thing about posting my face here is that there are actual music related reasons for it: I am playing gigs! Three weekends in a row. Three festivals. What a life.

Catch me talkin‘ bout house & a wild mix of breaks, bass, bounce & groove being the overall interested selectrician that I am.

„what genres do you play?“
- me: „yes“

24/08 @moynfestival w/ & thx to THE GREATEST @sleeptwitch_ @xcuseu.kollektiv

Friends, we’re right in the middle of the sweet spot of seasons, between a cosy full blooming spring and the unbearable heat waves of the summer. That calls for quality time outside with your loved ones - and if you’re in need for a proper soundtrack here, don’t scroll any further because Berlin-based DJ Jini Piju got you covered in the form of the 25th edition of my MESSY MIX series. 🌞

In a lucky coincidence spring is also Jini’s favourite season so she was more or less destined to create this hour of delicate tunes to match with the current vibe. “I stumbled upon this track called „spring has sprung“ by SOYUZ (СОЮ3), Asha Puthli & Sven Wunder,” she explains the origins of the set. “I find it very beautiful so it was clear to me that it has to be the intro to this mixtape to set the right vibe reflecting how everything’s coming alive again.”

@pijujini defines the spring season is a punch of energy as she further elaborates on the inspiration behind this mix: “For me it’s all about cruising around with my bike, experiencing the city in a drift, feeling the wind on my skin & enjoying how the sun tickles out the first freckles on my nose. It’s the start of endless sessions in the park, cuddling on meadows, running through fields. I want you to listen to this with a breeze in your hair, with friends in nature or at the beach. I want you to feel the primavera drift & come with me on a messy, but funky ride starting with some slow RnB, picking up on some balearic tunes, introducing a finishing touch of banging disco & one of my favorite deep house tracks.”

Needless to say, I’m all in for riding along her Primavera Drift. This MESSY MIX is the sweetest kind of musical messiness and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. Besides being a great house music DJ and a part of the @diskoflausch collective, Jini also runs a great weekly morning show on @cashmere_radio which goes by the name “Sunrise Serenade” and is also extremely recommendable listening material. Check it out and may you enjoy as many tender spring dates with your loved ones as possible. 🌴💚🌈

[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW | swipe for simplified graphics]
Jini Piju 💜
Als Down zu Tempo kam, traf Disco auf House - Jini Piju hockte mittendrin und
lauschte all ihren Geschichten.
Let’s groove the funk!🪩

When the slower side of life hit tempo, disco met house - Jini Piju found herself in
the variety of it all, captivated under a spell, listening to their tales. Stories about
heavy beats & rolling bass, champagne on ice & color palettes. In this universe of
sonic encounters, there are no harmonic or tempo limits, no boundaries in identity.
Snazzy rhythms snuggle up to sexy lyrics, spacey synths are laid low, softness
marries action. Expect a journey that’s sometimes slow, mainly bouncy,
occasionally dark, mostly funny, but always cool. With her chosen family, the
DISKOflausch crew, she’s building cozy, fluffy festival floors, showcases parties &
enjoys life on the side where the grass is greener. Let’s get you on a train that
drives you right through genrefluidity into the house that grooves the funk!🪩 Als Down zu Tempo kam, traf Disco auf House - Jini Piju hockte mittendrin und
