To close out the summer, the Pi Kappa Alpha Beta Alpha chapter would like to acknowledge the outstanding internships received and completed by the fellow brothers of our fraternity.

Being a major milestone for our brothers, these internships are a direct result of their hard work and commitment to excellence.

Here are a few of our many brothers who have completed summer internship positions, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for them.

To close out a fantastic year, we are proud to announce the recipient of the 2026 Dick Hufnagel Outstanding Junior Brother of the Year Award: the one and definitely only, Michael Stalder.

This year’s award race was neck and neck, but Michael “Staldy Pop” Stalder secured the top spot through countless contributions to the house. From organizing Family Weekend, to risking his life setting up Christmas lights, to refurbishing our patio area, Michael has taken on projects that will leave a lasting impact on the house for years to come.

Many of us look up to Staldy Pop’s work ethic and his drive to improve every single day. By night, however, Michael can be found blasting music through his speaker, performing air-guitar solos, and bringing unmatched energy to the dance floor — regardless of how stiff he may look out there.

Michael is a Supply Chain & Information Systems major and will be working as an Operations Intern at BNY Mellon this summer.

Congratulations, Michael Stalder, and best of luck in your future endeavors!

On behalf of the brotherhood we would like to announce our Men of the Month for March/April!

Dean “Jerry” Elwood is a sophomore Finance major from East Hanover, NJ. When he’s not fist bumping at D’Jais in Belmar, Jerry takes on the biggest role, being the President of our Beta Alpha Chapter. As the man who does all the work behind the scenes, Dean has done a fantastic job as the leader of our fraternity, and is passionately working on winning our chapter another Robert Smythe Award. With another semester as president, this is just the beginning for Dean, and we are excited to see the heights he can bring our chapter to.

Tay “Shimmy” Shim is a junior Accounting major from Wayne, NJ. Staying in State College this semester, Tay was the true backbone of our house these past few months. If you ever needed a room to hang out in or needed a good laugh after a rough day, Shimmy is your guy. His generosity and passion to better our fraternity doesn’t go unnoticed, and neither does his voice echoing through our hallways.

Aidan “Turtle” Turrill is a sophomore Film Productions major & Psychology minor out of Los Angeles, CA. Aidan is a genuine person and has made his mark on the house as one of our Social Chairs. He has worked hard organizing some of the best parties of the year. On top of organizing parties, Aidan organized our Parents Weekend in April. The weekend was a blast for everyone and wouldn’t have happened without his hard work. Aidan is the type of guy you love to be around, always down for a good time and will put a smile on your face no matter what. But don’t be fooled by the LA persona, Aidan has a background in MMA, and will bring that energy wherever you need.

Dan “D-Mo” Morgans is a junior MIS major from Media, PA. Morgans bring Delco vibes with him and it’s not rare to hear him let out a “Go Birds” Don’t even try to hate on Philly sports in front of Dan, it won’t go well. Recently we had a brotherhood pool tournament. After some competitive rounds, Dans grit showed and he took home the victory. Dan certainly made his mark on the house and had a good time this year. We look forward to seeing him shine as an “Enior”. by @pikepennstate

To our seniors,

Over the past four years, you’ve helped shape the culture of Beta Alpha into what it is today. Whether it was in the classroom, in the gym, or around the house you consistently led with discipline, loyalty, and character. Balancing school work while still making time for the people around you is never easy, yet you set that standard every day.

A class GPA of 3.60 reflects the work you put in academically, but your impact on this chapter goes far beyond numbers. The leadership, memories, and example you all leave behind will continue to influence future generations of Pike.

Thank you for everything you’ve given to this brotherhood. Beta Alpha is stronger because of you, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.

On behalf of the brotherhood, we’d like to announce our men of the month for February!

Diego “D-Bandz” Clark is a sophomore risk management major out of Maplewood (The Wood) NJ. After making it out the mud, Diego played a huge role this spring as Rush Chair, leading recruitment efforts. Between running the pool table + lighting up the dancefloor there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. As Head Social Chair he’s organized some of the best parties of the year. He’s never missed a setup - and definitely never misses a chance to bust a move when Kentrell hits the speakers.

Gavin “g-rose” Rose is a Sophomore accounting major out of Montgomery County, Pa. A true glue guy. He’s always there to lift up his boys. Gavin has a big heart and showed that at THON, standing for 46 hours. He’ll hype you up all day, but don’t let the nice guy act fool you, You might find yourself in a debate you weren’t ready for… and you’re not winning. A former high school wrestler, Gavin brings intensity to everything. You might not even realize you’re competing, but Gavin definitely does.

Eddie Morroni is a Sophomore SCM major from Upper Providence, Pa. Now living in the house full-time, Eddie hasn’t missed a beat - still dominating the pool + pingpong table and always bringing energy. Ed is a huge Birds fan and a proud former litter-chair . Back in the day he was a hockey star, Eddie’s now taken his talents to Chel and proudly claims the title of best player in the house. Overall, just a great kid.

Jesse “Jallen” Allen is a freshman advertising major from Flemington, NJ. When we are lucky enough for him to step away from Diamond Nation, Jallen is one of the best “boolers” in the chapter. Recently, Jesse took his talents to THON, where he stood for 46 hours at the BJC to raise awareness for child cancer. If you’re ever feeling down on yourself and need a quick laugh, Jesse is your guy. Over spring break Allen was the life of the party, some even saying he was in Miami “turning it up another notch”. by @pikepennstate

We would like to make a special THON weekend shout-out to our Independent Dancer Couple Adam Tanabe and Brendan Gilbert, along with brothers Jake Sweeney, Alex Ebel, Gavin Rose, James Sessa, Dominic Holler, Dominic Reynolds, Joey Newell, Jesse Allen, Colin Galvin, and Zach Paschkes, for taking a stand against Cancer the entire 46 hours.

With the help of I’m Not Done Yet, Beta Alpha raised more than $45,000. This year THON raised a record breaking $18 million for pediatric cancer. Beta Alpha appreciates the help of friends, family, and alumni who donated and supported our men throughout this memorable and exciting weekend.

As an independent chapter Beta Alpha would not have made such an impact at THON this year without the help of I’m Not Done Yet. I’m Not Done Yet was started by a fellow Pike brother at Duke named Bobby Menges, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma for the first time at 5 years old, and then again at 10. As tough as that was, it paled in comparison to his experience during his third and final cancer diagnosis when he was an 18-year-old college student. For this reason, I’m Not Done Yet is committed to being an integral part of the support network for adolescent and young adult cancer patients and survivors who are dealing with the financial toxicity, body image concerns, compromised fertility, isolation, and loneliness that are all too common in cancer patients of this age.

We look forward to continue building our relationship with @bmenges_imnotdoneyet and raising even more for pediatric cancer in the future.

On behalf of the Brotherhood, we’d like to announce our men of the month for January!

Michael “Staldy” Stalder is a junior Supply Chain Management major out of Pittsburgh, Pa. Stalder is the definition of a swiss army knife. This guy can do it all. Just to name a few things: Stalder recently put up the Christmas decorations on the outside of our house, landed an internship at BNY this summer, and is currently organizing our upcoming Parents Weekend. Oh and, rumor has it Stalder has never lost a game of ping pong.

Nicky Dejesus is a junior Biology major from Shelton Connecticut. Nicky’s passion for the Raiders and Knicks is admirable. Sundays and game nights are basically a full-contact sport for him. He brings that same passion and fire into everything that he does. Not to mention, don’t even try to beat Nicky in a freestyle battle, he WILL win.

Jack “Clear” Clearfield is a Sophomore Finance major from Malvern, Pennsylvania. Jack has carried the house on his back literally and financially. Clear serves on our executive board as Treasurer and he takes care of all the behind the scenes financial needs. Most recently, Clear was instrumental in getting our new flat screen 75 inch TV, and providing the brotherhood with Sunday dinners. If you run into Jack make sure to ask him all about Malvern.

Colin “CG” Galvin is a freshman studying Finance, from North Caldwell NJ. Galv has a true heart of gold and has the ability to make anyone laugh at any time. Galv sure knows how to have a good time and is the epitome of a “Glue Guy”. Colin was a stud multi sport athlete at Delbarton and now he’s continuing his athletic excellence in our very own pool room. by @pikepennstate
