#TheYellowAirplaneContinuing where I left last for #mystory so after I cleared my exams for CPL I was back to the flying school and all set for my #SoloFlight For any pilot the day of solo flight is very very special and unforgettable. It's the day when the instructor knows that you are ready to fly all by yourself without any supervision. My flying instructor did one circuit landing with me and got off the airplane and told me go. I was surprised and excited at the same time. Got some instruction and good luck wishes. I feel it's as special for the instructor also to see his/her pupil to fly independently. Take off was perfect and following the checklist I was humming "dil hai chotaa saa choti si ahaaa.." from Roja movie in downwind leg.☺️As I turned for the finals I noticed my height was higher than usual and as I come close to the runway to land I felt its not safe to continue and did a go around back in the air my instructor told me on RT that it's because suddenly my aircraft is lighter by almost 85 kg I have to come with slightly less thrust than usual and on my second approach I got it right.. and yeh touchdown. And today ……I completed a decade of flying as a ‘Pilot in Command’. Ten years of carrying the burden of command and not tiring even once. Tbh it feels like yesterday when I flew the red bird VT-KFC a Kingfisher Airlines A320 aircraft from Delhi to Mumbai on 13th September 2011 with my sim partner, my best friend, my brother from another mother Kulvinder Singh. What a coincidence that 10 years later I flew a red bird with my crew in red once again. Of course a lot has changed in these ten years and then as is true of all momentous times something has been a constant and that has been my inextinguishable passion for flying. With blessings of Waheguru ji 🙏🏼 I take this day as a humbling milestone on my journey and want to thank everyone who has been a part of this -my family, friends, instructors, captains, co-pilots, cabin crew, engineers, dispatchers, airport staff, ground staff, cab drivers…all, who made and still do the dream of living my dream a reality. Its good to be around you all. #pinkathon2026When I was announced mascot for the 10k @pinkathonindia I was excited but bit worried too.. am more of a gym rat than a runner. It was my dearest friend @ankita_earthy who chose me and knew I will be able to do it how could I say no to her.. who is my inspiration, who finished #ironman half and then full in the samw quarter of year.. whom I have seen running, cycling and swimming effortlessly for miles.. so I said YES and I am so glad not just me doing the first 10k it was my mom 5K, my sister and 6 years old niece 3K ( their first pinkathon) Along with 6000 women on the women’s day the morning of march 8th 2026 we ran… and the experience was nothing but surreal.From collecting the BIBs on 7th, cheering the invincible runners, 📸 with the founder of @invinciblewomen.india Ankita early morning elfies with fam, pink morning, lineup and flag off, to finishing our respective runs, doing squats for selfie with the one any only #fitnessicon @milindrunning I will remember this weekend for ever!!
