“Jayda was a huge part of our success this weekend and earning the MCAC Playoff MVP is a well-deserved recognition of her impact. Her work ethic, communication, and understanding of our defensive shape make her such an important player for us. She consistently puts the team first, does the hard work that often goes unnoticed, and sets the standard for what it means to be a team player. 🚨✈️⚽️ The Providence Pilots women’s soccer team is excited to announce the signing of defender, Siena Guzzi from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

“Siena Guzzi is an exciting addition to our program. Her commitment, work rate, speed, and aggressive approach to the game are all qualities that stood out to us as coaches. Having previously served as a team captain, she brings valuable leadership qualities and a strong, vocal presence on the pitch. Just as importantly, Siena is known as a great teammate who puts the team first. That mindset aligns perfectly with the culture we continue to build at Providence, one that values relationships, positive communication, and a team-first approach. We are excited to welcome Siena to the Pilots and look forward to what she will bring to our program. Welcome to the Pilot family Siena!” – Tory Walker, head coach of women’s soccer

“I’m very excited to officially become part of the Pilot family, and I’m so thankful to Coach Tory for offering me this amazing opportunity.
I would like to thank my parents for always being by my side, for pushing me to be the best I can be, and for never missing a single game. A special thank you to my dad for being the ultimate coach and always being my biggest cheerleader. I didn’t just learn the game from him- he taught me how to get back up when things got hard. I wouldn’t be who I am today without them.
Thank you to the Phoenix technical staff for building such a special environment that allowed me to grow and develop as a player- and a heartfelt thank you to Coach Dino for his endless support and belief in me.
Lastly, thank you to all my teammates, both past and present, for becoming my second family. I can’t wait to keep pushing myself to grow as part of the Pilot family, both on and off the field. Let’s go Pilots!” – Siena Guzzi

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 🤩

Congratulations to Sara Zorniak for being recognized as the MCAC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the year!!

“Sara has had an incredible first season with us, and we couldn’t be more proud of her earning MCAC Rookie of the Year. As a first-year goalkeeper, she stepped into a big role, playing more than half of our season and earning valuable minutes between the posts. Her fearless determination, aggressive approach, and ability to play as a sweeper keeper have made her such an important asset to our back line and played a huge role in helping us secure the #1 seed in the league. What makes Sara so exciting is that we are only beginning to see what she is capable of. As her confidence continues to grow, so does her game, and we know her ceiling is incredibly high. We are so proud of everything she has accomplished this season and, just as importantly, grateful that she has chosen to make Providence and this team her home. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for her!”

“ Hayley has been an elite presence this year on the pitch, being a strong defender in the midfield. She typically gets the toughest match ups and is always up for the challenge. Hayley is a big reason why we get the ball so much, she is great at disrupting plays, and transitioning the ball back to offence. Being more of a defensive player, her offensive stats shine through being tied for 4th in the league in goals. she is relentless in her work rate, and has a fantastic ability to keep our team engaged. she problem solves, and finds solutions for herself and for our team and is a huge reason why we have had a successful season so far.”
