So Excited and Grateful to share I’ll be performing at this year’s @soberfestvictoria ! ❤️❌🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼❤️Opening up for Bif Naked! Fefe Dobson! Snak the Ripper and many more amazing artists like my friends @staxismathias & @lord_condor ! 🤘🏼🤯🤘🏼 With special guest M.C @maestrofreshwes ?! So Grateful to be apart of this line up, especially as an artist in recovery whose primary focus these past few years has been to be an advocate for healing from addictions and trauma through storytelling, music and native-creativity…. Recovery from 17 years of alcoholism would not be the same if I did not have these creative outlets to express myself through. Life has changed so much in recovery and I’m so excited to share my songs for a crowd of folks on their healing journeys too at this year’s Sober Fest, a gathering which helps those struggling get to treatment. Thanks to the many people who advocated for me to be included in this year’s line up. The support truly means so much to me ❤️🙌🏼🐺❤️Lastly, I remember years ago in the early 2000’s watching Bif and Fefe on Much Music when their singles came out, rocking out to them. Now years later I am so stoked to be rocking out, sober, with them on the same stage!🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼 by @pin.dee.in

'Marilyn' is a meaningful song to me dedicated to my late Grandma Marilyn McCallum we lost back in 2001 nearly 24 years ago now. She is one of the far too many Indigenous Women in this country we've lost in a tragic way, far too young. She is where my Nuu-Cha-Nulth roots come from and wherever I've had the chance to perform this song, the crowd says her name back to me. We unitedly uphold it. Honour her. Recognize her and in that way I say her spirit lives on. It becomes more than a Hip-Hop song. It is contemporary yes but ceremonial. When writing the hook to the beautiful beat and singing of my friend @hawlii.indozhichige I thought of how in gatherings for our stolen sisters and for others we've lost tragically we commonly hear "Say their names, don't forget their names!" When I learnt about the tragic way she passed as a teenager it was like mourning and grieving all over again and when I indulged in my addictions I'd think about her and how life would be so different with her still here. I wasn't 'letting her go' as they say. She was a beautiful strong woman, a fan of Beethoven and all kinds of music, an actress in the theatre, a talented cook who gathered my Amos family together at our old place on Gorge Rd. and Carrol St. and she loved me lots.. Things changed immensely when she passed. My Mum hurt within and is still hurting.. I was 8..Now I'm 32. My Grandma would be/ is a Great-Grandma now. Her favourite bird was the hummingbird, the Saasin. So when I see them I think of her and move like one in my own way when I do this song. This song has helped me throughout this grief I've felt for years and it's helped me let the hummingbird go and be and I hope it helps others.-The full video can be found on my new Youtube Channel where I hope to upload more A.S.A.P! (Link in da Bio! ^*^)This was filmed by @magmazing of @victoriamusicscene at Lucky Bar here on Lekwungen Territory on 03/ 25/ 2025, an amazing night where I got to open up for both Vox Rea and Luca Fogale for the @letshearitbc Victoria show of the Juno Tour.- All lyrics by PINDN (A. Taylor-McCallum)Beat and vocals by HawLiiwith additional production by @felonious.parker - by @pin.dee.in

From Vic to Duncan to the Adam’s River to Port McNeil to Sointula and back, to Kingcome and back, fit in a quick trip to Port Hardy for a surprise visit with Mama Liz and then returned home at 3 AM. All within 72 hours. I wish I could’ve stayed in the homelands longer but I’m grateful for the time spent at this years Gwa’yi Music Festival. I will always prioritize performing my music in the homelands for my Musgamagw dzawada̲’enux̲w family and friends in the village community. It is always so uplifting to see creative-native artists make the long journey to perform for the people as music echoes throughout the mountains nearby. Grateful to have performed alongside @handsome.tiger , @renwick4294 , M’Girl, @mycsharratt & the Alibis, Rhys Keeler-Smith and it was especially special for me to perform right after my Brother @zrktaylor and be apart of our first gig together. I remember going to open mic’s with him in the city. So happy we could rock the stage together, supporting one another while supported by our Willie family ❤️🤘🏼🐺🐺🤘🏼Thanks to Myc, Aunty Lindsey and the whole Nunwakola crew, Dennis Johnson for all the hard work he does bringing gear to the village and getting me home safe last night. And thanks to everybody that listened to my set! The support back home means so much to me. by @pin.dee.in

Some shots from my set with the Nation of Creation (Sammy K. On the Bass and Sina Valizadeh on Drums) taken by our friend @dondenton 📸🤘🏼🐺🤘🏼I am so grateful to have curated 2 shows, 2 years in a row for the @eventidemusicseries . I thank my friends at @cfuv / @cfuvmusic for primarily funding these shows and helping showcase these creative-native lineups, showcasing Indigenous talent of all genres and for supporting my choice to make these shows being alcohol-free as an artist in recovery from addictions. Thanks to @tlemberg and @row____3008 for helping guide me through the process of curating gigs and helping me support these artists to the best of our abilities. I’ve learned so much through these experiences. I hope to see more all-indigenous lineups in the future within the local music scene here. As a fan of music that has been going to shows locally here on lək̓ʷəŋən land for 20 years, I have a lotta love for the local music community and Eventide, with the support of the @cityofvictoria , really does uplift it while providing a stage for local Independent organizers who’ve curated some of the best shows I’ve seen. Many highlights for sure and to be apart of it has been an honour I’m grateful for ❤️🙌🏼✨Thanks to Nev the sound person for helping things run smoothly and sound loud and clear.& thanks to this years artists: @vanlene_ , @aylelum & @hasaatuk who all shared such beautiful sounding, unique and powerful sets. After a long day… and week… and month… it is time to relax… for now… 🤘🏼😮‍💨g̲ilakas’la and ƛ̓eeko ƛ̓eeko!Especially to all who came out to support! ❤️🙌🏼🐺 by @pin.dee.in
