Is my Friday for one day. Lol. Off tomorrow. Going to an afternoon play Saturday. For today- going make brunch soon. Facilitate (3) mental health groups in a row. Chart the notes & go home & rest. Throw back. I was in this Model Competition in high school senior year. It was in New Mexico. It was a RUNWAY gig. We had to pay to participate I think. ANYWAY my mom@put me in modeling school when I was younger. As I was gangly and naturally thin - and tall. I did hair shows mostly. All runway. I did t really like it. Well lo@and behold they gave out AWARDS. And there I was standing there waiting for this to be over when they said my name and the SURPRISE AWARD. “ Future Model American Girl.” lol, the girl most likely to become a model in the future. Mind you this was RUNWAY. I was like shocked. The guy I was “ dating” in high school was there. He was thrilled. I got flowers. And a certificate. It was kind of cool. I had burned my face really badly in the sun so I didn’t have to wear makeup. I think I was even peeling. That may have been my modeling graduation. I didn’t want to go. Fast forward decades later- I was a teacher at John Roberts Power Modeling School in LA. I taught self development. Now that’s my bag! Anyway those high school days were rough. I was so unpopular. So to win this Award and look back now! Revenge!I also thought I was ugly. So it’s great to look back and say.. not ugly. #throwbackthursday #peaceofmind❤️ #grateful by @pinaoh1
