Happy Retirement Day to me 🎉

What a ride! Today I wrapped up 8.5 years with some incredible people at a wonderful company, NB+C.

I had the best send off over the past two days, and I will be forever grateful. I feel like George Bailey, with the thoughtful gifts, flowers, cards, lunch at the Boathouse, and such kind words 🥲. It’s time for Roy and I to start a new path ahead in retirement, but I will miss this group as they continue on theirs. Working as an assistant project manager for an “Infrastructure developer with a concentration on digital” —it was always hard to describe what I did 😆. Regardless, it allowed me a restart in a rewarding direction using my skills for detail attention, communication, and spreadsheets. This company works hard and we play hard too. I leave today as a retiree, but the positive imprints will last me forever. 🧡💙 by @pindaleay

Happy Anniversary to my husband! ❤️ The one when I get to join you In RETIREMENT (officially tomorrow). I pray we have many more fun times ahead like this one, when we couldn’t take a picture together without laughing. I have no idea what was so funny but the picture makes me smile. As you often do ❤️❤️ by @pindaleay

Happy Birthday to Cory! In all of his 24 years, I never imagined him spending this one on a ship, but there he goes! I don’t know why I’m shocked because he’s always seemed destined for the military life. I just wish my heart could keep up with the weight of pride and worry of being a Navy mom. Prayers appreciated for his first deployment! by @pindaleay

🤔 So apparently there’s a heat advisory here 🥵. How does that compare where you are? Roy and I are chilling on a lakefront, feeling awesome. No humidity or bugs. But we are warned 😀 taken in Lake Crescent by @pindaleay

My heart is so full! Thank you so much for the bday wishes. Being launched into a new decade doesn’t come easy, but I’ve had much love and a good send off, starting with my siblings and cousins last weekend at a surprise party 🤩

Roy and I are on the west coast, and Cannon Beach does not disappoint! I’ll post more pictures later when we get home but as the sun sets on my 50s, I will start a new decade with a broader perspective and a greater appreciation for each sunrise I’m granted. This bday trip was different without our boys, so I’m thankful for FaceTime! ❤️ by @pindaleay

Cory graduated A school today! We’re bummed not to be there but am glad to get pictures 🤩

He finished on the dean’s list and his contract is to be a hospital corpsman. He doesn’t have orders yet so he’ll stay put for now. He’s made lifelong friendships, and we still can’t believe he’s a sailor. ⚓️ Hooyah! by @pindaleay
