📌 Pindrop Live Session #1 : @gegenpressldn

📌 gegenpress are reinventing what a three piece can sound like. Unrelenting zipper like distortion whirling in your ear, piercing vocals and pumelling bass adorn their music, but their final flourish is being able to reel it back all back and still be haunting yet tender. Playing songs from their debut album “Don’t Live For Heaven”we’re so happy for them to debut our live sessions.

📌 Pindrop Presents: a night of chaos! A second Pindrop gig has hit the calendar! We bring you 4 chaotic acts for a belter of fun next Tuesday (the 14th of July), no less. Our headliner is @blackfondu , a longtime favourite of the Pindrop team. A seemingly unlimited amount of energy accompanied by production strewn with twisted samples and a blasted master, Black Fondu is heavy and raw.

📌 @omertabandmusicverycool are on main support, a band who embody chaos. Terminally online punters-turned-musicians clashing on stage and speed running being banned from London venues. @imaginaryhus_band are coming from Leeds for this show. Twangy noises, more akin to bashed strings than proper chords, are held down by anxious vocals. A moshpit is bound to occur. Last but not least we have @kissgem.burn Quartet, who’s sets usually consist of 8+ member orchestras pioneering doom, will bring us that same sound in a smaller band package. How lovely!

📌 It’s coming it’s real. We are pleased to announce Pindrop’s latest venture: on July 15th we will be releasing our first live session on YouTube with the indomitable noise-rockers @gegenpressldn . Get excited.

📌 We’ve been fans of these guys and their electric live sets for a while now, so with the release of their debut record earlier this year, we thought there was no one better to debut our live session endeavour. by @pindropzine

📌 It’s only going to get hotter! July marks the height of the summer so nip into an air-conditioned venue and catch some of these great acts, recommended by yours truly! 📌 Applications for Pindrop will remain open until July 8th, we’ve already got more than 50 so be patient while we give each it’s necessary dedication!

📌 This month marks the start of Pindrop’s 3rd year in action, and we have some exciting things in store, some you’ll see very soon and some slowly bubbling. 📌 Pindrop Presents: a rescheduled date! Unfortunately, our initial show at the wonderful @mot.ldn had to be cancelled due to a closeby fire, but we are now safe to put on a show and excited to have you come by!
We’ve teamed up with the lovely to bring you a night of beautiful tunes from some of our favourite London based acts IN THE ROUND!!!

📌 @defender.ldn unfortunately won’t be joining us this time, but we have gotten @lastwholeearthcatalog to step in! Luscious soundscapes accompany haunting yet twee vocals and guitars. They are so damn good.

📌 @emily_izen_row brings us her ethereal folk accompanied by a full band. Her single Vessel floored us last year and we hope her music floors you too!
@ropeburnropeburnropeburn are a band we’ve been eyeing for ages, and are so excited to bring you for this show. Post folk with a banjo?!? Count me in. Last but certainly not least @fionnualamarybradbury , who sent us some of the most impressive demo’s we’ve heard in a bit. Expect stellar songs that’ll make you weep.

Pindrop Presents: A Top Surgery Fundraiser!

First off, we raised £738 for @medicalaidpal at our last fundraiser back in February, so thank you to all who came out and to University, My Theatre Friend, Sativa and Jawsgirl for playing. We love running fundraiser shows, so we’re running it back!

This time, we’re giving you our answer to the age old question: should you tip your sound engineers? Yes. We’ll be helping raise funds for our good friend Loki’s top surgery, who, fun fact 1: does sound at the Windmill. And with their help we have crafted a variety night of bands for your entertainment.

Our headliners, @gegenpressldn , are London’s noise rock sweethearts. Having released an AOTY contender earlier in the year, the band are ones to watch (and thus ones not to miss). Fun fact 2: Loki also worked on @thisisnotpaperhats debut EP. The band are also on main support duties, providing post-hardcore for the masses. @the.glowworms are bringing you a gorgeous stripped back set, which promises slide guitar (hopefully). Expect amazing musicianship and some calm before the storm. On opening duties we have @lostlyra , a dreamgaze delight and a favourite of ours. Fun fact 3: they were in i-D mag with paper hats, how fun!

📌 Pindrop Presents: a Leeds and Manchester night!

📌 After a successful all-Bristol lineup last year, we’ve sent our southern spies on a reconnaissance mission; we present you with their findings. Headlining is Leeds’ @normalvillage , who drive off-kilter and dangerously fast with life-affirming shouts and clanging, almost-baroque chords; yet, they never derail.

📌 On main support we have an all-time Pindrop favourite, @buffeeeeeee , Manchester’s electro-pop deconstructionist, who conducts and manipulates her infectious tracks in real time with a Roland SP-404. Leeds band @clive_band get mathy with wild double-guitar synergy, while openers, Manny’s @cultofcob , sit between chamber post-punk and black metal.

📌 Pindrop Presents: some lovely tunes from lovely bands!

📌 Headlining we have @auntiebanduk , newcomers who are making waves with their upbeat indie adorned with every instrument under the sun!

📌 Our good friend @ewansamms is bringing his band to the stage, with some of the best songwriting and vocals we’ve heard in a long time! Opening is @heypatchwork , who’ll serenade you with songs reminiscent of classic americana bangers. And maybe we’ll have one more band playing… Who knows!
