Mind, Body & Menopause: Midlife Eating Disorders & Mental Health with Rebecca Lister. I recently joined Connect Talks for their latest season to discuss eating disorders during midlife. Perimenopause and menopause can be a complicated and overwhelming time before these phases intersect with mental health and eating disorders. In this episode, we explore the intrinsic connection between eating disorders, mental health and hormones. Join Connect Talks for this episode and the rest of the season as they explore eating disorders during perimenopause, menopause and the midlife and continue the conversation with the Butterfly Foundation, Eating Disorders Victoria, those with lived experience and more. Sit back, explore and give it a listen wherever you enjoy your podcasts.

What an honour it was to be your friend.

Thank you for it all…the work, the friendship, the love, the silliness and the mistakes.

You came into my life at exactly the right time and place. Forever with me.

Biggest love to Doug, Evie, Lulu and Tahlia.

Late change of plan. For the first time we’ll have singer songwriting Andrew McSweeney joining us On the Couch as our resident musician. Described as having the voice of an angel Andrew has been writing songs and music since he was a teenager. He has released seven albums with various lineups, performed and wrote as part of the Kutcha Edwards band, and has had a track cut by Daryl Braithwaite! Current releases are Mountain Song by Andrew McSweeney & The Wishing Horse, and Sangīta Volume 1, by Dipika Delmenico & Andrew. Andrew is also the Director of The School of Loving Music, an arts hub located in the heart of North Melbourne, where he teaches music to children and adults who are at all stages of their musical education. We’re stoked that Andrew can join us on Sunday and look forward to sharing his beautiful voice and presence with you. On the Couch with Beck Lister, Sunday September 6th at 4pm at the Northcote Town Hall. Bookings: wwwonthecouchwithbecklister. Look forward to seeing you! #northcotetownhall #liveart #conversations #melbournearts #chatshow by @pineapple_princess62

Can’t wait to introduce @the.desert.swimmer to On the Couch! Brendan’s life as a sheep station manager was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with depression. But he knew it was a turning point and time to find out who he really was. To do this he swam the English Chanel, wrote and launched his first book, the memoir ‘The Desert Swimmer’, and took on new roles as a mental health advocate and mentor. Brendan’s no stranger to pain but recognised that he could help others by sharing his story. Hope you can join us on Sunday September 6th to hear Brendan and our other guests @kphydes and @amy_bodossian share their stories of life, hope, failure, success and their dedication to art. The wonderful Amy Bodossian is one of a kind! Brutally honest, open, candid and talented. She’s a fierce advocate for OCD and mines her own experience for her work and love of performing. She’s no stranger to the ups and downs of life as an artist and makes no apologies for being her authentic self - both on and off the stage. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Amy talk about her work and share her stories and songs. On the Couch with Beck Lister, Sunday September 6th, Northcote Town Hall. 4pm.
