4 years ago today my mom, aunts, Mema, cousin, family-friends and cheer moms had to run for their life.
I was 9 and Logan was 7 years old; my dad and I were sitting in bed waiting for my mom to FaceTime us so we could watch LANCO sing The Greatest Love Story which was my favorite song. So she FaceTimes us and start singing and loving every bit of it. It was over so we said we love her and hung up. Like 5 minutes later she FaceTime us again and we just thought maybe she was showing us another song, but she was running, crying, screaming and 9 year old me not knowing what is going on I start fricking out and she starts saying I love you guys so much, this might be my last goodbye. But she didn’t know that she was on FaceTime she thought she was calling and on speaker. So seeing her running as fast as she can and hearing all of my family and friends yelling at each other where to go scared me even more. They were jumping over fence and walls, leaping over things and trying to dodge the bullets. When they finally had gotten as far away as possible they were about 5 miles away from the shooting, so they ran that whole way to a hotel where they were finally safe. This day will never be forgotten by them or our whole family and others, and will always pray for the 58 losses. Before all of this at the concert they got matching fake pineapple tattoos and when they got back to Temecula they all got a REAL pineapple tattoo on their back with blessed below it so that tattoo will always remind them how blessed we all are that they survived this. 💜🧡 by @pineapplekenna

peace out temecula valley high school ✌️

Being here at TV I’ve learned so many lessons that has grown me to the person I am today! I’m so blessed for my family and friends that have always been supporting me with every decision I’ve made! Thank you mom and dad for dealing with all the long nights of Volleyball, Flag football, and STUNT games (more to come!), cooking me dinner when I would come home late every night from practices, and waiting for me to come home from ASB events that might’ve gone late! But maybe that’s because we have to go to froyo after every single event! My Gangsters have showed me how to live life to the fullest and what it means to become a family! In the last two weeks we have practically spend every waking moment together and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else! 💛🤎

Our ASB program at TV is the best in the world and the best thing in my life! It has truly made me a confident and resilient leader! Mr. B has taught me so much about myself and about my life, including my strengths! He is truly one of a kind and I thank him so very much for making the set ups and clean ups so memorable even when we didn’t want to be there! He truly cares about us and I will miss that everyday!
Mrs. B makes every learning experience the best it can be while making it so fun! Being her TA, I’ve gotten close with her and I’m so grateful and will miss her so very much! There is no one so welcoming and supportive as she is when you walk into her classroom!
She has taught me to follow my heart with everything I do and open my mind to what the world can offer!
These two amazing people have been my WHY and family at TVHS! 💛🤎
