Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross 🌿✨🤎

→ When I tell you that this book is absolutely perfect in every single way, I truly mean it! If you’ve read the Divine Rivals Duology, you know just how magical this author is not only with her words, but with her knack of really pulling you into the world she’s writing about. This book was no exception, and I absolutely loved the fact that it’s a prequel to Divine Rivals—it really was the cherry on top 🍒 Experiencing Matilda and Vincent’s love story was beautiful in every single way, not to mention all of the mythology and fantasy intertwined along the way.

→ I really cannot recommend this book enough! I finished it so quickly and I really never wanted it to end. All of the characters struck a chord with me, and I loved how different they all were in their own ways. This is truly one of those books that I wish I could erase from my mind and rediscover all over again, 5/5 stars from me, obviously ⭐️

The Perfect Child by Lucinda Berry 🎈😈✨

→ this book was definitely a whirlwind of chaos and creepiness and I very much enjoyed the concept. Although it was incredibly easy to breeze through and fast paced, the characters in my opinion were just absolutely insufferable and I didn’t enjoy them much. Regardless, I think Lucinda Berry’s writing is what makes this story and the reason why I continued it until the very end! 🙂‍↔️

→ I’m excited to read others by this author so if you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them! I’ve heard mixed reviews about this book, so you either love it or hate it, but I would still recommend to give it a shot because you never know, 4/5 stars from me ⭐️

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab 🦇🩸✨

→ sapphic vampires, a five hundred year timeline, and one of the best female rage books I’ve ever read? This was literally my favorite read of the entire year 👏🏼 I loved this book so much that I actually made it to the topic of my capstone course for one of my degrees and I will never stop talking about it! It has the perfect mix of everything and I truly felt a major attachment to these characters and their lives 🥺✨

→ I highly recommend this and if you’re thinking about diving into the worlds of V.E Schwab, this one is honestly a pretty good one to start off with! This book means the entire world to me and it’s obviously getting a 5/5 from me ⭐️

Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney 💭❓✨

→ What would you do if you were in a coma, trapped inside of your body, unable to react to the things around you? This book was absolutely insane! I enjoyed the ride that this book took me on and on top of that, the writing made it that much better. Everything about this pushed this read to the top of my reads this year and I cannot wait to read more by this author 🧠🫠

→ If you enjoy a good mind fuck filled with twists that completely immerse you into the story, then I highly recommend this! Alice Feeney is easily becoming one of my favorites and this was an easy 5/5 from me ⭐️

Happy Place by Emily Henry 🦞💖✨

→ this book truly means so much to me! Not only was it my first read by Emily Henry, but it’s one of the few romance books where I resonated so deeply with one of the main characters. This book was written so beautifully, and the way all of the characters are intertwined so delicately where it just makes sense makes me want to ugly cry 🥹🩷

→ this book is just made with so much love from the friendships to the chemistry between Wyn and Harriet that is so palpable you can feel it bouncing off the pages. I honestly gave this book six stars, and it’s definitely going to hold a special place in my heart for a very long time, 6 stars from me ⭐️

Review: Summer in the City by Alex Aster 🌳🏙️🩷

→ I know that this book was pretty much disliked by absolutely everyone and their momma, but I think this was such a cute, light summer read! It was really easy to get through and it’s filled with feelings, swoony dates, spicy love, and even a dash of healing in there. I feel as if this book was meant to be over the top and I just adored every second of Parker and Elle’s relationship throughout the story 🥹🩷

→ The writing was, for me, what truly made the book come alive in my head and I love the fact that it reads like a romance movie that I wish to live again and again simply because of how much it also romanticizes NYC. I just had to also give this one a 5/5 ⭐️

Review: Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan 🌾🌠🧡

→ This was truly such a beautifully emotional story filled with complex characters and deeply layered relationships. The author tackled difficult topics with the utmost care and I found myself filled to the brim with love as this story unraveled in front of me. A true testament that love can be found again even when you thought it was gone forever 😭🧡

→ The dual POV really helped me lock in to both sides of the story, and as someone who usually dislikes the miscommunication trope, I felt that it was executed so well that I just had to keep reading and reading. I’m excited to dive into the other two books in this trilogy! Of course, I had to give this a 5/5 ⭐️ highly recommend!
