The Merino Wool Active Short is here.

220 gsm merino jersey with Nuyarn, 7” inseam, slim leg, zippered back pocket. Light enough for summer, substantial enough for fall. Dries fast, resists odor, works for runs, rides, hikes, and doing nothing at all.

We rode our favorite stretches of the Dempsey Challenge Gravel course, and year two is going to be a good one.

Fast gravel, quiet backroads, and a rest stop at Runaround Pond Recreation Area that is one of the prettiest places we have ever stopped mid ride.

Here is the part that matters most: every mile you ride and dollar you raise supports the Dempsey Center, which provides personalized cancer care and support services at no cost to anyone impacted by cancer. For Free.

Thanks to @evergreensubaru for the official route vehicle.

Registration is open. Come find out what Maine gravel is really like.

Join us this Sunday at our Portland, Maine store as we watch the final stage of the 2026 Tour de France together. We’ll have the race playing live, plus coffee and pastries on us. Come see our new Continental merino wool jersey in person, designed with inspiration from tours of the past. See you there! taken in The Black Box on Washington Ave by @pinebury.us

There’s a moment every rider knows. The ride ends and you’re standing in line for coffee, dressed like a race is about to break out. Skin-tight lycra makes sense at 25 mph. It makes less sense holding a cappuccino.

The Continental was built for the whole ride, including the stops. taken in Portland, Maine by @pinebury.us

Before carbon, before lycra, before wind tunnels, there was wool. The riders of cycling’s golden age climbed the Alps and sprinted down the Champs-Élysées in knitted wool jerseys with button plackets and pockets sewn by hand. They weren’t wearing wool out of nostalgia. They wore it because nothing else worked as well.

Somewhere along the way, function crowded out form entirely.

The Continental Merino Wool Jersey restores the balance. It does everything a cycling jersey should, wicking sweat, regulating temperature, carrying your ride essentials, without giving up the classic form that made cyclists the best dressed athletes in sport. taken in Portland, Maine by @pinebury.us

Every garment we make is cut and sewn in the USA. It’s a commitment to fair labor, safe working conditions, and the people who’ve kept this trade alive for generations. American garment-making is a tradition worth protecting, and we’re proud to do our part.

The truth is, this is the hard way to build a clothing company. Your support is what makes it possible, and we don’t take that for granted. Thank you. Happy 250th. taken in Maine by @pinebury.us
