Belated New Year Greetings, Friends!

I haven’t slowed down after my holiday break, but I’m going to be working on some new item listings soon.

I cannot thank you all enough for making last year’s website launch successful and for your continued support of my shop. I feel immensely grateful to get to have fun doing this.

Hi friends new and old,

I just wanted to drop in to say hello since it’s been a while. I’m still around, and have been feverishly working at finding my groove, on my own again.

I’ve gone through an immense amount of changes the last few years but I’ve never stopped trying to give new life to old things.
It brings me joy to connect someone to a piece that brings them joy and that will do so for years to come.

I’ve been working on a new website that I’m almost ready to launch and I’m thrilled to share all of my finds with everyone once again.

Thank you all for supporting my side hustle and being so good to me all of these years. You are all so appreciated and have made me feel incredibly supported and loved. I would not be here if it weren’t for all of the kindness I’ve always been shown. ✨

For those who are new here, I am
Based in Santa Fe, NM, originally from Los Angeles but this will be my 6th year living in New Mexico. I’ve had so many opportunities come my way that I’m so proud to have been a part of and that I cherish.

I feel so grateful to be here and to have all of the meaningful connections this wonderful place has brought me and still brings me each day. There’s no place like New Mexico to me. ♥️

If you’re local and ever see anything you would rather pick up in person, let me know, or if you are ever looking for specific, also let me know because I might have one for sale.

I’ve lived to see another year and I can wholeheartedly say that it has been a highly transformative one full of growth, fun, community, laughs, and a tremendous amount of love. Thank you all for loving me as I am and welcoming me into your lives.

I’m feeling the most inspired and free I’ve felt in ages because my job lets me be myself and encourages it. So on my days off, I still love getting dressed for myself. 🌹

This means you get to see the silly outfits I put together that bring me joy.

Aqui no mas, Cantinfleando.

This ones for my dad, who I used to watch Cantinflas films with as a kid.

Cantinflas was more than just a comedian & actor, he was a cultural icon. Charlie Chaplin once said Cantinflas was the greatest comedian alive.

When I moved into my little house last year, it was an exciting / clean slate to design each space the way my heart desired!

The bathroom was the first room to get a color makeover and getting a Sproos shower head was a huge game changer in so many ways.

I constantly use my Sproos showerhead for handwashing delicate vintage clothes in the tub, and with its 3 settings, pause button and generously flexible hose, it makes my life so much easier.

As much as I love my original yellow showerhead, I’m loving my new Golden Hour showerhead too now. Also, I can’t wait to reap the benefits of having a filter now 😎

I guess it isn’t too late for me to put these tiny warm clothes away when we still have snow here.

The little reversible dinosaur sweater with the hood is my favorite find. 🥹

I’m terrible at sizing children’s clothes, but I’ll make sure to add measurements when I list them on the website.

Speaking of, the website doesn’t currently have international shipping as an option, but if you’d like to purchase one or a few things as an international customer, just let me know and I’ll get you a shipping quote. 🩷

I just found a bunch of old family photos from my mom’s side of the family that I had no idea I even had in my possession.,
I immediately burst into tears because I was close to my maternal grandparents and I miss them always.

They came to the U.S. (East L.A. to be exact) in 1951, when my mother was 6 months old. She told me that she didn’t speak a word of English when she went to kindergarten and would just cry from the playground because she could see my grandma (Nina to me) in their front yard from there. Also that the teachers would hit students on the hands with a ruler if they spoke Spanish.

I fully acknowledge that am the person that I am today because of all of my hardworking Mexican family members on each side. I’ve fought tooth and nail to try to make my family proud and just keep my little brown head above water since I was about 19 years old and I’m still just doing my best.

I’m definitely a scrapper, but I wouldn’t be here and who I am without my family and the hardworking ideals that they all ingrained in me.

Please know that when you support my shop, that you know this is why I work SO hard.

My grandparents were also the ones to take me and my mom thrift store shopping when we would visit them where they lived in the high desert of California, during my summers off from school.

I am always proud of where I come from, and that is from strong, resilient and kind immigrants who always worked hard their entire lives.

Spring is definitely in the air because allergies are back. Yet, I managed to get all of these listed on the site earlier today. I am still chipping away at adding more items because I have to ton of things! So stay tuned.
