Since there have been a few new faces around here lately (which honestly blows my mind 🥹), I thought I’d properly introduce myself. I’m Kirst – the face behind the camera. Obvs haha. 🍋 I’m a lazy photographer. Yep, I said it. You’ll very rarely catch me using a tripod or monopod... not even for night games. I know... it’s a little unhinged. 😂 You’ll usually find me using my legs as a tripod, leaning on a fence or locking my arms as stiff as possible and hoping for the best. (On the sidelines anyway... indoor events are a different story!) 🍋 I’ve always had a camera in my hands, but four years ago I decided to stop dreaming and go all in. I invested in gear (that I’m still paying off 😂), started building my business and have been chasing this dream ever since. 🍋 My heart belongs to the in-between moments. The uncontrollable laughter. Proud tears. Quiet glances. The celebration after a goal. I love knowing someone can look back at a photo years later and instantly feel that moment all over again. 🍋 Dream photoshoot? Without hesitation... @ellidy_ and @chloe.fisher with their beautiful girls Minnie, Bobbi and Andi. Their story and the beautiful chaos of family life would be so special to capture. 🍋 I’m actually really, really shy. Ironically, once I’m working, I’m the complete opposite. I’ll happily move people around, tell everyone where to stand and direct a whole photoshoot. Apparently confidence only arrives once the camera comes out. 😂 🍋 I used to drink... a lot. These days? Hardly ever. A white wine on a hot day or a Thursday night is about it. Otherwise, you’ll find me with a hot chocolate in hand. If you ever spot me freezing on the sidelines and surprise me with one... you’ll absolutely make my day (and probably end up in my stories 😂). If you’ve made it this far, thank you for being here. I’m genuinely so grateful for every follow, every like and every bit of support. Something a little different on the grid this week. Ive always loved all things design related - be it gorgeous interiors, aesthetics, branding, activations, homes and storefronts/businesses, anything that catches the eye and makes you look twice. Snapping a few interiors to acquaint myself with a new technique and offer, for any home enthusiasts out there looking to get some beautiful imagery of their homes or work environments. These guys right here… played a brilliant game on Saturday (like they do each week)!! It really stung as we stepped out at 90 minutes with a loss because these guys deserved the win. I wish my photos could express more of the intensity, physicality and heart that was on display throughout the match. Nonetheless, just like the coaches and squad have been all season… they continue to grind, show resilience, support one another and never let the fire under their boots burn out. There isn’t much left of the season, but enough for you all to get out and show your support for the last 6 rounds. Even though the scoreboard read 0-0 at full-time, it was a cracking game from both sides. There was plenty of physicality, plenty of drive and no shortage of effort, but we just couldn’t quite find the back of the net. What a fun couple of hours, spending time with Maja watching her work and capturing the real & raw talent she brings to all of her pieces. This was part 2 of a series I captured for Maja. Our first was a set of images I took, showing her style two pieces of furniture that she had completed as well as some gorgeous art she had created for her home (I’ll share more on this soon). Thanks for welcoming me into your gorgeous home Maja & for trusting me to show off just how talented and passionate you are! @milei_art 🫶🏻 Stripping back to create a fresh piece to refurb Filling holes and any damage to the pieces to ensure all items have the smoothest surface. Maja refers to this as the “snot” she uses to strip her pieces down 😆 Sanding… And even more sanding! Look at that transformation already! Bit harder when it comes to the smaller crevices and hard to get places, but Maja makes it work.
