This past weekend we gathered with @thepinkprintuk to host a special conversation x a pilates class.
Our event started with a round of complementary drinks and snacks, bouqet-making, a pilates class, and finally a sit-down discussion.

TOUCHY-FEELY IS 1!!!! 🎂🧡 (Officially in July but TGB rightfully owned the month! 🥳)

One whole year of US.

We’re a little emotional thinking about everything that has happened since we started.

In ONE YEAR, we’ve gone from an idea born from lived experience to building a community, securing funding and commissions, working alongside the NHS and some of the biggest organisations in cancer, creating films, campaigns, workshops and spaces for our community, taking culturally relevant cancer awareness into places it hadn’t been before, creating The Girls’ Bathroom (and having over 700 of you walk through those doors!), telling stories that weren’t being told, speaking in rooms we never imagined we’d be in and making sure our communities were part of the conversation.

We’ve laughed. We’ve cried. We’ve created. We’ve advocated. We’ve challenged. We’ve celebrated.
We’ve had some very, very big ideas.. and executed them all.

And somehow, we’re only ONE. 🥹 *It’s really giving a decade!**

So it only felt right that we celebrated our first birthday the Touchy-Feely way in a room full of some of the incredible people who have made this year what it has been.

A HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thank you to @pinkpilatesx for sponsoring our entire first anniversary celebration. We’re so grateful!! 💗

You helped us give our community the most beautiful space to celebrate everything we’ve achieved and to just BE. We are so incredibly grateful.

And to our community…

Thank you for trusting us.
Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for sharing your stories.
Thank you for telling your aunties, mums, sisters, cousins and friends.
Thank you for believing that cancer awareness and support CAN look DIFFERENT.

Everything we have built has been for you and, increasingly, with you.

12 months down.

And we’re only just getting started.

Celebrating life with a little soca and wellness was the agenda... mission complete. 🩷✨

Thank you @pinkpilatesx for helping me celebrate my birthday in true Sunshine style.

There’s something special about moving your body, protecting your peace and spending time with amazing women who pour into each other.

This birthday wasn’t just about getting older. It was about choosing joy, choosing health and choosing experiences that make life feel full.
