🌲 Missing these views a little extra today. 🏔️✨

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸✨
It is officially the Semiquincentennial (the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776). There is truly no better milestone to celebrate while looking back at those beautiful, timeless mountains.🏔️
.
My mind keeps wandering back to our trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains and the @primlandauberge There is truly nothing like watching the summer haze roll over those ridges.
.
5 mind-blowing facts about one of America’s most iconic landscapes:

1️⃣ The “Blue” is Real Science: That signature smoky blue mist isn’t an optical illusion. The dense forests release natural compounds called isoprenes. When they mix with the summer heat and moisture, they literally scatter blue light from the sun!
2️⃣ They Are Ancient: The Blue Ridge Mountains started forming around 400 million years ago, making them some of the oldest peaks on the entire planet.
3️⃣ The Highest Peak in the East: North Carolina’s Mount Mitchell is the highest point east of the Mississippi River, standing tall at 6,684 feet.
4️⃣ America’s Favorite Drive: The 469-mile Blue Ridge Parkway completely lives up to the hype—there’s no better place for a classic American road trip.
5️⃣ Wildlife Hotspot: It’s actually recognized as the salamander capital of the world, hosting more species of these unique amphibians than anywhere else on Earth!
.
Celebrating America’s birthday today by looking back at some of the most beautiful “purple mountain majesties” I’ve ever seen. Red, white, and missing the Blue Ridge! 🇺🇸❤️

Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th! 💙❤️🎇

🎓 We Did It, Cohort 44! 🙌
Words cannot fully express the gratitude I feel as we officially celebrated the graduation of Leadership Broward Cohort 44 Hardcore! 💥
.
This journey has been nothing short of transformative. To the incredible staff, board members, and facilitators at Leadership Broward: thank you for creating a space that challenges us, connects us, and empowers us to be better leaders for our community. Your guidance and dedication have been the driving force behind this unforgettable experience.
.
To my fellow Cohort 44 changemakers—the “Hardcore” crew—thank you for the laughs, the late nights, the collaboration, and the shared passion for making Broward County a better place. We came in as individuals from different walks of life, and we are leaving as a united force ready to make a real impact.
.
The graduation date may mark the end of the program, but it is just the beginning of what we will accomplish together. 🚀 We are Graduating INTO! Leadership Broward!
