📚🎓 Fun Fact Friday: High School Edition! 🎓📚
What is A+? ⭐

Did you know California High School is an A+ designated high school? 💙

The A+ Scholarship Program is a great opportunity that can help eligible graduates receive scholarship funds to attend participating public community colleges, vocational/technical schools, or certain private two-year vocational/technical schools.

To qualify, students must meet several requirements, including:

⭐ Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
⭐ Complete an A+ agreement with the high school before graduation
⭐ Graduate from an A+ designated high school
⭐ Maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA
⭐ Maintain at least a 95% attendance record in grades 9–12
⭐ Complete 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring
⭐ Maintain good citizenship
⭐ Meet required math assessment criteria

The A+ Program is a great way for students to prepare for their future and take advantage of opportunities after high school! 🎓

🎒 Elementary Fun Fact Friday: School Supplies Edition! ✏️

🚨 Breaking News: You don’t need to panic-buy the entire school supply aisle! 😆🛒

“Mom, do I need 47 pencils, 12 folders, and a backpack full of supplies before school starts?”

Nope! 😉

For the 2026–2027 school year, CES has an amazing School Supply Program to help make back-to-school shopping easier and more affordable! 🐴💙

For just $20 per student, families can receive all the essential classroom supplies needed for the school year, including academic materials and commonly requested items like:
✏️ Classroom supplies
🧻 Tissues & paper towels
🧼 Clorox wipes
🧴 Hand sanitizer
…and more!

You only need to provide:
🎒 A backpack
🚰 A water bottle

That’s it! Less shopping stress, less running around, and more time enjoying the last days of summer! ☀️

Need a few extra items? Don’t forget about the Moniteau County Alliance for Kids Back to School Fair! 🎉

🚗 Drive-thru event

This FREE event is open to all students attending school in Moniteau County and will provide school supplies and materials to help students start the year ready to learn! Families may also receive a backpack while supplies last.

📞 Middle School Fun Fact Friday: Who You Gonna Call? 👻

Don’t call the Ghostbusters… call the CMS Office! 😉📚

Whether you have a question, need help, or just need to know who to contact, the CMS Office is here for you!

A few helpful office reminders for our Pintos:

⏰ If your student is absent: Please call the office before 10:00 AM.
📚 Need homework? Contact the teacher directly!
🏠 After-school plans? If your student already knows where they are going after school, the office does not need to be notified.
🤒 Feeling sick? Students should visit the nurse. The nurse will determine next steps and contact a parent if needed. (Students should not use their cell phones to contact parents during the school day.)

One more important note: The office does not contact individual teachers when a student is absent. If your student will be gone and you need help with assignments or need to communicate with a specific teacher, please reach out to that teacher directly.

Save this info now… because middle school questions happen faster than you can say, “Wait… where’s my Chromebook?” 😆

🔥 The work has been put in all summer. Early mornings, late nights, sweat, sacrifice, and a commitment to getting better every single day.

Pintos Football is ready to turn that hard work into something special. The foundation has been built—now it’s time to show what this team is made of.

Out with the old and in with the new! 🙌

Our new HVAC system is being installed, and we're excited to see another big improvement happening across our schools this summer! These upgrades will help create a more comfortable learning environment for our students and staff for years to come.

📢 Online Registration is Now Open!

This year, California R-I is making registration easier than ever! 🎉

Returning Families:
Complete your Online Registration through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal before Registration/Open House. Simply log in, review your household, parent/guardian, emergency contact, and student information, make any necessary updates, digitally sign, and click Submit.

Completing this online saves time, but parents and students should still attend Registration/Open House at their designated building to complete the remaining registration activities.

📱 Do Middle School & High School Students Need the California R-1 App?

No! Students are NOT required to download the California R-1 app.

💻 When students return to school, they will access their Rooms on their Chromebooks through the district website during the school day.

📲 Does your student have a smartphone and want to stay connected to classes, sports, clubs, or activities outside of school? They can absolutely use the app—but it is completely optional.

Optional Student App Login Instructions:
✅ Download the California R-1 app.
✅ Tap "Sign in with Google."
⚠️ Do NOT enter your username and password on the first login screen.
✅ Select your school Google account when prompted.
✅ You'll then have access to your assigned Rooms!

The California R-1 app is a great way to stay in the loop, but remember—it is not required for students. Everything they need for school will also be available through their Chromebook. by @pintonation

Middle School Football Camp Time Change 🚨
Due to the extreme heat, Middle School Football Camp has been moved to 7:00–8:30 p.m. tonight as well as Tuesday night to help keep our athletes safe.
📍 Location: California High School Football Field
If weather or conditions require it, camp activities will be moved to the high school weight room.
