A very happy sister spotlight Saturday with senior Julia Buchanan, MC ‘24!! Julia is a Reynolds Leadership Scholar from Centreville, MD, and she’s on club squash exec. Read what Julia loves most about being a Pi Phi!

“My favorite core value is personal and intellectual growth. I love the idea of being surrounded by sisters who encourage me to grow while also supporting and inspiring each other to reach our full potential.
I chose Pi Phi because I loved the sense of community it gave me. Every woman in it is there to support her sisters and be a sincere friend. Pi Phi has given me some of my best friends at Dickinson and has pushed me to get involved in ways I never would had just on my own.”

So much love to you, Julia!🪽 by @piphidickinson

It’s been a very happy #whyPiPhiWednesday here with Taylor Cheung, MC ’24! Taylor is a senior from Ellicott City, MD, and she plays on the women’s lacrosse team. Hear from Taylor on what she loves about Pi Phi!

“The core value that resonates most with me is personal and intellectual growth, because the support system that Pi Phi has given me allows me to truly grow and flourish. I feel supported in all that I do and encouraged to be the best that I can be. Our chapter is filled with great role models and girls who I can reach out to even past graduation.
I chose Pi Phi because of how welcomed I felt talking to each of the girls. It felt easy getting to know everyone and become a true part of the chapter. I was also impressed by how involved all of the girls were and how much they supported each other. Pi Phi means sisterhood and genuine friendship to me. I have found some of my best friends and made amazing memories. Pi Phi has made Dickinson so much more meaningful to me and helped me come out of my shell, helping me finding my people.” by @piphidickinson

Happy #PiPhriday with senior Ella McTeague, MC’ 24! Ella is from North Reading, MA, and she’s a member of the Syrens and Wheel and Chain. Read what Ella has to say about what she loves about Pi Phi!!

“Sincere friendship resonates with me deeply because Pi Phi has truly brought women into my life who will forever be a part of my life. They have shown me what it means to have not only mutual trust but also love, support, and endless laughter.
I chose Pi Phi because the women immediately made me feel at home. I found my people in Pi Phi, women who push me to be my most authentic self while bringing so much joy and laughter into my life. To me, being a Pi Phi means having a constant support system of women who celebrate, challenge, and lift each other up. Pi Phi has shaped my Dickinson experience by giving me some of my closest friendships and countless memories that has made Dickinson a second home. I am so grateful to be surrounded by women who encourage me to grow, while always allowing me to be myself.”

Always a happy #whyPiPhiWednesday with Ryan Adler, MC ’24! Ryan is a senior from Baltimore, MD and is the president of the Pre-Health Society, VP of Operations for our chapter, and a member of women’s club soccer. Hear from Ryan on what her favorite Pi Phi core value is and what it means to her!

“Sincere friendship! Something really special about Pi Phi is that once you join the chapter, you have 60 new friends. I can go up to any girl and know I’m going to have the best time. Pi Phis are truly some of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve met, and I’ve genuinely found some of my best friends here in Pi Phi.
When entering recruitment my freshman year, I was worried I wouldn’t find a place where I really fit in and meshed with the girls. Despite my nerves, I was immediately welcomed into Pi Phi like I had known these girls for years. People often say the people closest to you are a reflection of yourself, and if that’s true, I couldn’t be luckier to be surrounded by my Pi Phi sisters. They bring so much grace and enthusiasm to every space they’re in at Dickinson. Having a Pi Phi sister in every corner of campus has not only brought me so many more friendships, but has also made me a more outspoken and confident student. Having my sisters to guide me and learn from their experiences has been truly unforgettable.”

We love you, Ryan!! by @piphidickinson

A very happy #PiPhriday with Ava Cefaloni, MC ’24! Ava is a senior from Harrison, NY and plays on the women’s soccer team. Read what Ava loves most about Pi Phi and our core values!!

“Sincere Friendship resonates with me the most because it is something I have truly experienced throughout my three years in Pi Phi. When I first joined, I hoped to make friends, but I didn’t realize how many genuine and lasting relationships I would build. My sisters have been there for me through some of my happiest moments, challenges, and everything in between. What I value most is knowing that these friendships go beyond simply being in the same organization, they are relationships built on trust, support, and genuinely caring about one another. Pi Phi has given me some of my closest friendships, and I hope to continue strengthening those relationships and creating new ones throughout my time here!
I chose Pi Phi because, as a student-athlete, I wanted to branch out beyond my sports team and meet new people on campus. From the first night of recruitment, I felt so at home at Pi Phi. I am so proud to be a part of this organization and love all of my sisters so much. Pi Phi has shaped my Dickinson experience by helping me step outside my comfort zone and form meaningful friendships with people I may not have otherwise met.”
