25 years.

In February, Jay and I visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum in New York. I knew it would be emotional, but I don’t think I was prepared for just how deeply it would affect me.

I didn’t take many photos. There was so much to see, hear, and absorb - stories of lives, families, first responders, loss, courage, and the enormous ripple of one terrible day.

Today, on the 25th anniversary, I’m thinking about the people who were lost, the survivors, the first responders, the families who continue to carry that loss, and everyone whose lives were forever changed.

Today, we remember. 🕊️ by @pippizenko

About a year late sharing these … for a long time, I wasn’t sure if my mom and stepdad would ever get to see what we’ve built at Mica in person. After years of distance, getting to walk them through the space, tell the stories behind it, and show them the result of countless long days (and nights) meant more than I can put into words.

Some moments don’t erase the past, but they remind you that healing can happen one conversation, one visit, one hug at a time.

Really grateful for this day. 💗 by @pippizenko

Before there were keys, bookings, or late nights … I drew this sketch of our @wearemica building.

Now it lives on as our thank-you card for the people who help make MICA what it is 🤍 taken in Mica Studios by @pippizenko

A quick BTS of a very real studio day: first drone test, fresh spray-painted signage, and getting everything ready for upcoming shoots + events. Always building, always improving. 🚁✨ taken in Mica Studios by @pippizenko
