Me doing my best impression of a duck, flying down the Q10/19 this morning .... The weather played its part to 😜.

Love this course and a massive thank you to @teletubby_le and marshals for organising and standing out in this weather. 👏

Friday 5pm down tools. Head south accross Æskrdun. Meet some freinds. Head up onto the hill. Chill, eat, sleep. Saturday spin down the road for coffee, to meet Pip and the dog. Do another lap of the Hill. Second breakfast. Head back north on some new and some old roads. Refresh, replenish. Sunday pancakes. Head east accross the Weald. Catch up with the outlaws. Finish a lap of the lake. Head back home on my favourite trails, past my favourite tree. Drink beers 🍻

After a year spent almost exclusively on the gravel bike, I finally dusted off the road bike this weekend. 🚴

I'd forgotten just how good my deluxe hand-built wheels from @aeightbikeco feel. Smooth, fast, responsive and they carry speed effortlessly. One ride was all it took to remind me why the HMR still puts such a big smile on my face.

Just shy of 100km of Glorious Gravel in Wessex on Saturday. Beautiful route which was mostly off road. The hills were hard enough to shuffle the pack, the rolling roads were super chill, and the downhills were flat out wild 🔥
.
The perfect day for it 👊

"Dust follows in our wake, hills listen in silence to each rolling mile."

Took a little trip down to the down's, cleared the mind, challenge the body and soaked up the views. This place is special in any weather but today was really perfect.
.

I am really loving my new @schwalbetyresuk G-ones RX pro 45 tyres from @aeightbikeco . The confidence they give me over any terrain has really impressed me I never thought a tyre could make so much difference to my riding.

Gloriously dry trails in Nottinghamshire! Wasn't expecting much from this one, but the 85km of mostly dry, non-technical, gucci grav grav, was one of the nicest, easiest days I've had on the bike. The perfect wind down after the race on the Saturday 🔥
.
Pip was on her bespoke ÆIGHT ØNE PRØ, with mechanical GRX and ÆIGHT WHEELWØRKS PRIMØ wheels, with Schwalbe G-One RX Pro 45mm tyres. I was riding my custom MP4/ÆIGHT DËLUX, with SRAM Force XPLR AXS, and my ÆIGHT WHEELWØRKS DËLUX wheels, with Schwalbe Thunder Burt Addix Speedgrip 2.25" tyres. The dog is sporting a new bag this year - we upgraded to the newer K9 sportsack, which gives both of us even more comfort!

Wet, Windy and a side of sand-blasting......

The sun was two days too late for the Suffolk X,

Our first Æightescape of the year, made for some nice fast compact sand sections and a lot of grit behind my eyes........

But we aren't made of sugar or are we @aeightracer!!
