✨OMNISCIENT READER’S VIEWPOINT✨

💫 It’s about time I post about another one of my god-tier reads. This feature is wayyyy past its due frfr

🌌 I’m always in my ORV era which hits like a newly unlocked scenario.

💫 Ngl I could read the webtoon from the beginning up to the latest episode update over and over again but like now that I’ve just grabbed the print editions manhwa?? The rereads are gonna be super smooth and……. endless.

🌌 Tell me why this story still knows how to punch me right in the soul whenever I read it. This just makes me thrum with energy and I can’t wait to devour the serialized novel as well.

💫 It’s smart, brutal, addictive, and somehow even better the second third fourth, hundredth time around. One of the bestest bests I’ve ever read my entire life hands down.

⭐️ What’s the last book that refused to let you go even on a reread?

🖤 Happy reading everyone and hope we all have a wonderful week!

“The constellation Demon King of Salvation is looking at you.”

💫🌌✨🌌💫

P.S. I’d like to give a shout out to my dearest friend @poatic.library who shares the same love I feel for ORV like GIRL we stop won’t stop rereadinggggg I’m so happy I’m not alone in this lol you get meee

BLOOD OVER BRIGHT HAVEN
By M. L. Wang

In all honesty, I haven’t the barest idea how to begin expressing my thoughts and feelings about this book. I think I’m still in a slump after finishing it at the end of last month, and while I’m grateful of the books that I’ve read and have started since, I’m still hung up on Blood Over Bright Haven.

I knew a lot of people loved it and raved about how amazing it was, but I wasn’t prepared on how much it would affect me. I would say only a few books/series have impacted me this way, that spoke to my soul and made me feel empty and so full of everything all at once at the same time.

Yeah, I know it doesn’t make sense but it just felt that way. I can’t explain how I felt so huge and high and it’s like I was floating but the feeling is tangible? Like a weight? But instead of pushing me down, it was lifting me up.

And I was hurting but I also I felt ecstatic and then there was also me hating and holding myself because of those scenes that made me uncomfortable, and how I could see myself in both Sciona and Thomil.

I’m sorry, this review is not saying much about the book but just how overwhelming and cutting its plot and themes are for me.

Let’s just say that I’ve found that one book that is truly special to me and I connected with the most. It had been some time since I cried this much reading a book and I loved every second of it.

Blood Over Bright Haven is a god-tier read for me, and I can confidently say that it’s my most favorite novel of all time.

All that and I still haven’t scratched on all of the characters, the world building (utterly vast and realistic, lived-in and intentional), magic system (the most unique and intricate I have ever had the fortune to read), and the writing craft (M. L. Wang stands for Master in Literature), which are all brilliant.

Powerful.

A masterpiece.

All the superlatives. This book is truly perfect to me.

Blood Over Bright Haven is my everything.

Have you guys ever experienced this way about a book? Please let me know which ones they are so I could read them, too.

Here’s to running towards hope.

💀 All Hallows’ Eve might be over, still I want to officially and formally welcome November hehe I really love these final months of the year and the lead up to the next it makes me super excited

🍂 Autumn to winter transition just gives me all the cosy, warm, toasty feels and for me this season is not just for familiar epic fantasy novels but ofc it’s the time for horror masterpieces to experience that fear I’m fond of

☕️ there’s nothing like reading old favorites and getting the same comfort during the first time but with fresh new eyes

📙 These books are home to me and reading them brings me silent sanctuary and thrill at the same time and I’m just thankful I got to read them :3

⛏️ Tomie by Junji Ito

✨ ⚔️ STARSIDE ⚔️ ✨

Author: Alex Aster

Talk about a surprising read!

I def did not expect to be wowed by this book as much as I did, but here we are. Curiosity and social media influencers got the best of me, thank you. I really had fun with this book.

Lightlark is my first Aster book, and ik ik I should’ve continued on with the sequels and that was the plan before starting a new series of hers but Starside really was that unputdownable.

The best way to describe my reading experience was a roller coaster ride. Honestly. It was moving, steady, steady, a little bit up… steady, going uppp, and down… steady, up, up, up, steady, down, steady… UP DOWN UPDOWN UP DOWN UPUPUP UPUP DOWN UPUP DOWN

Lmfao and the last chapters?? Totally blew my mind. Miss Alex Aster ma’am, you’d give SJM a run for her money with the way you write smut scenes hehe it wasn’t even like fire burning ok, it was explosion after explosion ughhhhh

And that ending was just brutal.

BRUTAL I TELL YA

How dare you but also keep it up, give me more, that was amazinggggg

Anyway, I binge read this book in a day, felt empty afterwards but also buzzing with the hungover. Does that make sense? lol

I’m just glad that I let myself get influenced and this book came at the right time when the vibe was there I truly enjoyed it.

Anyone knows how I can read Stormside early like rn rn like aside from signing up for ARCs bc that’s what I’m doing if they offer advanced copies. Fingers crossed!

Bc I’m not waiting for Raker for fifty years lmfao which it def feels like from this moment up to release day in November waaaahh

Gods help us all waiting for book two 😮‍💨

☀️ SUNRISE ON THE REAPING 🐍

Suzanne Collins, the writer that you are.

There I was thinking The Hunger Games trilogy couldn’t be even better because it was already a masterpiece, perfection. But this book.

This. Book.

I knew from Mockingjay that our Queen and Savior Suzanne Collins is ruthless with the callbacks and echoes but SOTR is even more brutal than that.

Haymitch’s Games truly broke me. I was crying from the first few chapters because what do you mean this had been our Haymitch? What do you MEAN I get to see him suffer and lose everything and hold his hand knowing his doom is inevitable

and I can’t do anything about it.

I loved The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, but I connected with Haymitch’s book more.

It was like reading The Hunger Games for the first time, and since it’s impossible for me to do that even though I wish I could, I was glad I was able to feel the same reading Sunrise on the Reaping.

For me, reading this book after Ballad makes sense because the two also have consistency. Right now, I’m thinking I’d reread from Ballad, then Sunrise, then the core trilogy, though I also believe that publishing order has that crushing emotional impact.

I thought I was past crying over this series since Mockingjay finished me, and since when I read Ballad it wasn’t like I felt myself tilting emotionally and mentally.

Turns out, Suzanne Collins can make me cry even harder.

New god tier book unlocked.
Peak dystopian fiction.

This story is tied to my soul.

Don’t even get me started with the themes yall because this review might well and truly turn into an essay lol

Guys someone pls do a wellness check on me if we get Finnick’s games idk what will become of me then if I’m like this with Haymitch’s 😭

P.S. I finished this book on Katniss’s birthday omg I just realized okthnxbye imma go cry in my pillow again

🏰 This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me 🏰

Author: Ilona Andrews
Rating: ♾️

Isekai peeps, assemble!

Dear lord, this book Ilona Andrews barged in and did not spare my poor heart. Maggie the Undying has been shaping out to be one of my favorite isekai series like EVER.

This book has everything I love about portal fantasy, and since I’ve been obsessed with isekai since Inu Yasha lol and it got carried over to webtoons/manhwas nowadays hehe (Truck-kun, I’ve got my eye on you), TKWNKM really hit all the spots for me.

I was salivating, going out of my mind, like yall I read this book in one sitting and did not sleep at all even tho I started it on a school night.

So addicting.

Tbh, I knew it from the moment I’ve sampled the first chapters in an extended preview and thank goodness I did that a week or so away from its release day bc I would’ve gone insane from the long wait.

Really really I love this book sm and just writing this post and thinking about it rn is making me lose my sht again bc of that ending (been trying my best to compartmentalize you see and just ignore this gaping hole the size of Rellas that Maggie left me with).

I wanted to make this post once I’ve received my Owlcrate edition but it’s taking soooo long hehe but like patience who I’ve never been good at upholding that virtue and I’m being bombarded with TKWNKM posts on here so I decided that the time’s now and just do this.

Obviously, apart from lacking patience I’m also greedy so I have to have all editions of this book that I could get my hands on. Am I missing others apart from the OC one? Pls lmk besties I beg

Thank yall for reading my ramblings. All the emotions just pour out when it comes to Maggie and co and like that ending was brutal ok like it was awesome and amazing but also fml when is book two coming out lol I miss Sushi

Ilona Andrews, mom and dad, my dynamic duo. Thank you sm for Maggie and this world. It’s my intro to your brilliant works and I can’t wait to experience more of your stories

Any isekai fans out here? Have you read any books that made you this feral?

Happy reading everyone 🫶🏻

🤎✨Mentally, I’m here✨🤎

Thank you @fantasy.with.me for tagging me! I really had fun gathering these pictures on Pinterest hehe and it made me feel nostalgic the same way your post did 🥹

This has got to be Part One because there’s too many I’ve been wanting to include yall have no idea but each post is only allowed 20 pictures in the carousel bummer

so I’m like let’s just go with these first which are from novels I truly truly love and I hope I didn’t forget any bc I’d really feel guilty but like I could also just include those in another post hmmmm so I guess everything will turn out fine then heh

My soul craves for these stories ALL the time god-tier Roman Empire ten out of ten hundred percent no notes ate and left no crumbs I’d die on this hill until the wheels fall off I would’ve gone with you the end into the very fires of Mordor kinda obsession and devotion

I’ve tagged a few bookstagram baddies who are also my besties but I would really love to see lots of takes of this Mentally, I’m here posts because I’m interested to see what everyone else cannot move on I’m a nosey beach like that lol so yea if you see this post, if you wanna create one as well then please do 🫶🏻

Which stories live in your head rent free?

Happy reading everyone and hope we all have a wonderful weekend 💕

PS the only photo I own is the first one, the rest are from Pinterest like I’ve mentioned!

🥀 MIDWEEK CHECK IN 🔥

Lasts of the spring and I can already feel the smoldering heat of summer ☀️

What have we been reading lately, besties? And why are we all either in the middle of rereading WTMH, or already started/finished reading TBOFD ARCs? XD

I have to say that Moonfall is definitely one of my most anticipated reads this May. So far, I’ve only finished three books:

👒 Anne of Green Gables by M. L. Montgomery
🕊️ Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
⚔️ Starside by Alex Aster

I loved Anne with an E and I’ve always wanted to read the book which was why I made it my mission to do so this year. I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook and it gave me a sense of comfort that the show also made me feel.

It also helped me adjust transitioning from remote learning to back on campus and it’s like a dear friend with their arm around my shoulders telling me everything is going to be alright.

Sunrise on the Reaping was devastating. I have to create a different post and write a review about that (I’m wayyy behind reading updates and logs I know don’t come for me 😭) but all I can say for now is: I love this book like an all-fire 🔥

Starside was an absolute surprise for me. I started this book on a school night and finished it in between classes hehe everyone was correct about the ending because what was THAT. I did not expect to be utterly gobsmacked but here we freaking are

Good thing that Stormside (book two) is coming out this November because my soul is itching to know what happens next after that cliffhanger.

I hope to finish WTMH before Ballad comes out, as well as TSOTF which I’ve started right after finishing TWOTM. There are also a few books (Shatter Me) ARCs I’m so very excited to continue and get into 💕

What’s your best read of May so far? Hope you guys are having a wonderful time with your books as I am ✨

Happy reading everyone 🫶🏻

This wonderful book featured is the Fairyloot edition of Firebird by Juliette Cross 🐦‍🔥

I can’t wait for Fairyloot to do the rest of the books in the series! I just know that they’ll look just as epic as Firebird with Jeff Brown’s art 🙂‍↕️🙌🏻

🌊 THE BRIDGE KINGDOM 🏹

NEW GOD TIER FANTASY ALERT!!!!!

🐍 I regret—I repeat: I regret NOT starting this series sooner. I’ve seen it recommended by others, bought plenty of SEs even before I’ve gotten my hands on the standard editions of the indie and the trad pub versions, and sampled a few chapters on Audible but this dum dum took her sweet sweet time until the moment struck and boom. She’s addicted. She is me.

🐍 Anyway, I talk a lot without really saying anything lol but like can yal guess how much I LOVE The Bridge Kingdom? I’ve only finished the first duology (Lara x Aren), The Bridge Kingdom and The Traitor Queen, and can’t wait to continue to the next ones!

🐍 Take this as a sign and start binging the series besties if you love unique world building, amazing writing, relatable, layered and well fleshed out characters, and sizzling romance.

🐍 DLJ just hits the right spots for me every single time. I’ve loved all books of hers that I’ve read and I’m confident that it’ll be the same sentiments in the future and forever and everrrrr

🐍 Lara and Aren took me through a tempest with all the hardships and difficulties they’ve triumphed together. Their love story captured my heart and I love it as much as I’ve loved the heavy political themes of the story. This is fantasy through and through and the romance made it even more irresistible to me.

🐍 Tandem reading/Immersive reading the paperbacks and the audiobooks gave me such wild experience and apart from Lara and Aren, I’ve also grown attached to the rest of the characters I felt drawn to. Found family is found family-ing lmfao or something like that

🐍 Me being attracted to the SEs I’ve “bought now, thought about later” was kind of like a foretelling that I’d be obsessed with the series even before I’ve tiptoed into it so I’m glad I didn’t hold back then and tried my hardest to grab whatever SE I can hehe

🐍 Now my present self is thanking my past self’s foresight and vigilance during bloodbath presales

🫶🏻 Thank you Danielle L. Jensen for writing these stories

🧡 Here’s to the next epic novel, The Inadequate Heir!
