Ka-Ciao from Radiator Springs to the F1 Paddock! ⚡️🇮🇹

For two decades, Lightning McQueen has inspired generations of fans with his love of racing and relentless drive to be ‘faster than fast’.

Now, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Disney and Pixar’s Cars and Disney’s ongoing collaboration with Formula 1®, an invitation from former racing rival Francesco Bernoulli brings the seven-time Piston Cup champion to the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2026, where McQueen will be sporting an all-new, course-ready look!

Thank you so much to @disneystyle , @disneystore , and @mattel for this curated collection inspired by Lightning McQueen and the spirit of Cars, bringing together iconic storytelling, F1 racing culture, and Monza style— both on and off the track. Explore the collection online at Disney Store and the Formula 1 Official Store.

Introducing the new for 2026 Pixar Cars x Formula 1 diecast 3-pack. 🏁⚡️

These look great in person. I’m a huge fan of the dotted patterns on these. You can run your finger through the paint and feel the textures. Love their expressions as well! These were first shown off at D23 and are currently available on Disney Store’s website for $20 USD.

Now here’s the debatable question: what are your thoughts on Lightning McQueen becoming a safety car/ pace car? 🫣🤣

This newly released for 2026 20th anniversary Golden LMQ is absolutely stunning! It’s an ‘inverted colors’ version of the red variant seen in the 20th anniversary Doc Hudson 2-pk. Currently, these are being found at Target stores inside of a 20th anniversary shipper display (found in the toy department hallways or Disney Store sections) in quantities of 5. It is unclear whether these are meant to be promos for 9/5 Day, regular releases, or limited to just the shippers. This is not a chase.

Have you found one yet? 👀🏁

Ka-Chow! Movie theaters across the globe are gearing up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pixar’s Cars starting 9/5 (Lightning McQueen Day).

To celebrate, Cinemark has released a popcorn tin bucket ($29.95) and a Rookie LMQ bucket ($49.95). AMC and Regal will have their own exclusives as well including a Piston Cup sipper, and a beige tumbler with a Lightning and Mater lid.

We, yes WE are all pulling up to relive that feeling of the Piston Cup and Radiator Springs 20 years later.⚡️🏁

Cars 20th Anniversary: The Road to Cars

Presented by Pixar at D23 Expo, several never before seen concept art pieces were shown from the archives to commemorate the film’s production and history. The idea of Cars dates back to May of 1997.

Lots of new information was shared, including the early stages of the film’s original title/ plot: “The Yellow Car”, jars of dirt that inspired Radiator Springs’ scenery, Piston Cup crashes, character designs, and more.

The video presentation is up on my YouTube channel as a segment that plays during my D23 vlog.

Racing into the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Piston Peak National Park (Cars Land 2.0) is set to open in the next few years, with construction already underway. Thanks to creative Cars director (Jay Ward) and Niel Patrick Harris, we know know lots of new details on the two new attractions set to be featured in the land along with several new Cars character ride vehicles and audio animatronics.

Ridge Rally Run will take you on a high octane off-road race around the beautiful sights of Piston Peak, while Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along will feature an audio animatronic of the legendary school bus and derby racers ready to get smashin’!

Will you be racing at Piston Peak opening day? ⚡️
