@pitterpattercarpentry did it, again! My desk shares space with the pantry and kids’ lockers, which meant it became the family dumping ground for everything they didn’t want to deal with. At the same time, we found that we had appliances constantly sitting out in the kitchen, that we hoped to still use, but hide away. I sent some ideas to Sam and like magic… here we are! More storage space, proper lockers and shoe drawers, dedicated places for snacks, appliances and everything else. Thank you for making another project happen! by @pitterpattercarpentry

We love working with eclectic clients who aren’t afraid to embrace color, personality, and unexpected details. This was such a fun project to bring to life.

Clean lines, seamless storage, and thoughtful details come together in this modern kitchen. Every cabinet was designed to create a space that feels open, functional, and beautifully tailored to the home—proving that simplicity can still make a statement.

Some pieces deserve more than storage—they deserve to be displayed and celebrated. We created this custom quilt cabinet to protect a collection of deeply sentimental quilts while keeping their stories visible for years to come.

These are my favorite days in the shop. Details that force me to slow down, try something new, and create something beautiful. 💛

Too late to grab a video with all the doors hung. @kcfinishing took them before I had a chance! 🫠

We could probably make a business out of trim-matching for old homes. 🤔

𝑴𝒊𝒅𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒚, 𝑴𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 🧡🌿✨ An artist’s eye, a carpenter’s craft, and a contractor’s expertise come together to reimagine a 1990s ranch with a distinctly vintage soul.

Guided by @80santafe gallery owner Sheila Shockey’s love of midcentury modern style, Samantha Dawdy of @pitterpattercarpentry and Stephen Velie of @stephenveliehome began by removing a wall that ran through the house, adding a support beam to create an open-concept floor plan and joining two baths together for a larger primary en suite. From there, the team layered clever details throughout—refurbishing midcentury pieces from Shockey’s collection and building others from scratch, from curved walnut elements and sliding doors to custom storage that captures what would have been wasted space.

The result is a home that feels both nostalgic and new, with circular inset pulls, curved trim, textured materials and pops of turquoise, rust and orange echoing the palette of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. Through a beautiful collaboration, vision and execution came together to create a most unique and livable home. ✨
