There's a new boiling scene emerging for Ottawa. Two of theirs' best bands are Airgun and Pity Fountain. Airgun leans toward Shoegaze and Pity Fountain delivers an amazing metalcore sound. They both have a short album out on streamings. I got the chance to bought theses albums on CDR! That's DIY! You will learn more about them here in the next few weeks. If you don't know them, it is worth checking them.

EN-013: Life Is Just… - Pity Fountain

Hailing from the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, Pity Fountain initially formed as a side-project for Guitarist/Vocalist Samuel Agnew and Valley Filmmaker Anthony Leroy, and quietly released their Demo in March 2025. Now, with a completed lineup, the band released their debut EP “Life Is Just…” in October 2025, contrasting Shoegaze Textures with Metalcore Dissonance, Pity Fountain delivers a debut that feels both familiar and completely their own.

FFO: Fleshwater, Static Dress, Underoath, Vein, Bodyweb

Tapes are available for pre-order now online from endnoterecords.ca, shipping out in early spring or available for local/show pickup in Southern ON and Eastern CT (check shipping options).
