In "Paradise Aliens", Venezuelan artist Alonso Galue presents a series of large-scale murals exploring exile, memory, and myth through vivid, surreal imagery. Drawing from Andean cosmology, political violence, and personal displacement, the works depict gas-masked figures, ancestral animals, and dreamlike battlefields rendered in bold, expressive strokes. Galue frames the project as an act of rebuilding inner geographies—visual rituals that transform trauma into resistance, symbolism, and space for reflection.Stay tuned for open exhibition dates. Follow on social media or check the Pivot Arts website for more details. @a.galue @illinoisartscouncil @wirtzcenter ****Color portrait of artist Alonso Galue smiling with arms crossed in front of a vivid, abstract painting, overlaid with bold graphics promoting "Paradise Aliens" at the Pivot Arts Festival 2025. by @pivotarts
