Back out again in Phoenix… and it’s starting to make a lot more sense.

Second ride on the Shuttle AMPD with the Avinox system at Pivot Cycles and this is where you really figure out what a bike’s about.

First ride gives you the hype.
Second ride gives you the truth.

And the truth is, this thing is properly sorted.

The power delivery from Avinox isn’t just strong, it’s predictable. You stop thinking about modes and start focusing on the trail. That’s when you know it’s working.

Climbing… it just keeps asking for more.
Descending… still feels like a Pivot. That DW-link doing its thing, keeping it planted without killing the fun.

What stood out most today was how natural it feels once you settle in. No fighting the bike, no overthinking it. Just ride.

Even better, had Chris Cocalis out there on the ride with us. When the guy who built it is riding it the way it’s meant to be ridden, you get a pretty clear picture of what this platform’s about. No sales pitch needed, it shows in how the bike performs on trail.

After a second proper ride, it’s easy to see why they’re backing this so hard.

Out here in the desert again riding something special!

Spent the day with the team at Pivot Cycles in Phoenix, getting time on the new Shuttle AMPD running the Avinox system… and it’s exactly what you hope it would be.

This isn’t just another e-bike update. It’s what happens when two companies stay in their lane and do what they do best.

Pivot doing what Pivot does, dialled geometry, DW-link working overtime, a proper ride feel.

Avinox bringing the motor and it’s got punch. Smooth when you want it, aggressive when you need it. No lag, no weird spikes, just clean power.

The big takeaway?
It actually rides like a bike.

Climbs are stupidly good. Descents don’t feel like you’re wrestling a motor. It all just works together.

Had a chat with Chris Cocalis while I was here, and he summed it up perfectly. Pivot have been building e-bikes waiting for a motor like this. Avinox have been building a motor waiting for a platform like Pivot.

After today, that line hits different. by @pivotcyclesaus
