Need a little short to watch before Christmas is over??? “Asian Actually”: A series of vertical ads for Coffee Meets Bagel with @wongfupro where we got to create scenes from iconic rom coms. For this we did the door scene from “Love, Actually”, the party scene from “When Harry Met Sally” and the elevator scene from “500 Days of Summer”. From there the full scenes got cut down into a horizontal trailer titled “Asian Actually” about what if your favorite rom coms were actually Asian. Shooting Horizontal and Vertical is already difficult enough in the commercial world, but narrative is need tougher to shoot both at the same time. Challenge accepted! DPed a short film while getting a tattoo and managed to pull for several shots that my face wasn’t in cuz we were a skeleton crew. Twas such a fun and rewarding experience. Echoes (2023) - @anthonynotelling A short film I had the pleasure of DPing back during Covid. I realized I never shared too much on social media of this film and after its festival run and many awards, I figured I should post some stills from this film (so get ready for a few posts hahaha). This film was a challenging film where we had 1 location (minus a flashback on the beach). But there were 2 parallel universes running in this location. So making a small little Irvine Apartment look dramatically different was the task. Here is the run down world of the living room. Dead Cameras Tell No Tales! 🏴‍☠️ Here is my Pirates of the Caribbean build for DP @nathanielregierdp before it underwent vertical and teleprompter mode 😂 (swipe to the end to at least see it in vertical mode lol) And peep the nice black and gold SDI in the Teradek from @customcameracables. Finally had a use for it 😉Huge shoutout to Rare Breeds for the camera package: Arri Alexa Mini LF with Arri Signature Prime lenses. Fun parts about this build going vertical were the use of the Wooden Camera Vertical Plate, sticking the Elite Handgrip on the side of the camera which turned into a mini gun styled handle when vertical, and I finally got to stick my little bubble level on the camera since we couldn’t use the digital level on the camera and with the teleprompter rigging parts, we couldn’t always see the bubble on the head. #piratesofthecaribbean #camerarig #1stac #pirates #camerabuild by @pixeldustisaiah

I give you the KACHOW build! This Alexa Mini has been struck by lightning. @larry.tang08 has to have been thinking “I am speed” when lighting his scenes and OPing with this camera. Arri Alexa Mini w/DZOFilm Vespids. This was honestly one of the lightest mini builds I’ve been able to do fully built out! I give you “The Going Eterna”, my build for the Videndum booth this year at CineGear. Fujifilm GFX Eterna 55 w/Zeiss Supreme Primes. This was my first time rigging out an Eterna, and I have a few ideas to make it cleaner, but not back for a first crack at it. We put a 1x2 SDI Amplifier on the camera to fix only having 1 SDI port and tied up our cables nice and neat, while still allowing access to all the buttons on the AC side.
