Beautiful room at the Ressy Gala.

Why are wide room shots so important in event photography?
Because sometimes the room itself is the story.

Before hundreds of guests arrive, there is a brief moment when the lighting is perfect, the tables are untouched, the florals are in place, and months of planning finally come together.

That’s when we want the wide shot.
For a corporate gala, these images aren’t only beautiful memories. They become valuable marketing assets for almost everyone who helped create the event.

WHO COULD BE YOUR NEXT EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY CLIENT?
There are more opportunities than you might think.
Comment “EVENT” 👇
And we’ll send you our list of who can be interested and who needs professional event photography.

A strong conference gallery should give your team a complete visual library:

— Wide shots that establish the venue and scale of the event
— Speakers and key moments on stage
— Audience reactions and engagement
— Candid networking and conversations
— Sponsor and partner visibility
— Branding and event details
— Group photos and VIP moments
— Natural portraits of attendees
— The small moments that show what the event actually felt like

Why does the variety matter?

Because after the conference, different teams need different images.

Your social team needs engaging people-focused content.
Sponsors need proof of visibility.
PR may need strong speaker images.
Your website needs clean, timeless photographs.
And next year’s marketing team needs images that make people want to attend.

Swipe through to see how we approach a conference from the big picture to the smallest details.

We see event planners ask this all the time:
“What should I actually expect from a professional conference photographer?”

The short answer? More than someone taking pictures of the speaker.

A professional photographer should already be thinking about:

— Who are the VIPs and key speakers?
— Which sponsors need visibility?
— What branding needs to appear in the photos?
— Are we capturing audience reactions, not just the stage?
— Do you need images for social media during or immediately after the event?
— What happens when the schedule changes?

And yes — the schedule will change.

A session runs late. A VIP arrives early. Networking moves to another room. Lighting suddenly changes.

That’s where experience matters.
Our job is to understand the event, anticipate important moments, adapt quickly, and give you a gallery that actually helps you after the conference is over.

Because your photos may need to work for social media, sponsors, press, recap emails, your website, and promotion for next year’s event.

So when you're hiring an event photographer, don't only ask:
“Do I like their photos?”

Also ask:
“Do they understand how events actually work?”

Guests were welcomed to Santiago in a modern, minimalist space designed by famed Chilean architect @mathiasklotzarchitect and decor brought to life by the vision of @paulagutierrezstudio. The menu was designed in partnership with Chilean celebrity chef @chefguillermorodriguez and his wonderful team at @espaciogastronomico and featured the foods of the different regions of Chile. For every event hosted here, @eventosbotanico planted a tree in its honor, which I thought was such a thoughtful gesture. 📸 @pixelmestudio taken in Santiago, Chile by @pixelmestudio
