“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can…”today marks six months since I stumbled into @opexsj. after a year of health struggles and the logistical chaos of island living, I was worn out, beat down, and didn’t feel safe in my own body.I still don’t know many people at the gym, but their collective energy is kind, steady, and welcoming. it’s a feeling — and it’s there every time I walk in.that atmosphere starts from the top with owner @ernesto_velez, and with my trainer @keithmrodz, who is endlessly patient, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. he meets me exactly where I am, no matter the day.thank you to these superheroes who put in the work while I start with the little dumbbells and learn how to use the equipment. 💪🏽thank you for letting me put a yoga mat on the floor of a CrossFit gym so I can get strong and figure my shit out. by @pixieinparadise
