Today is the 2nd anniversary of Pizza By Ruffin! It’s crazy to think we’ve been in South Lake Union for two years now. There’s so much to reflect on, be grateful for, and EXCITED about as we push forward with our space and concept.

In our second year we’ve been focusing on our community! We’re building lifelong connections in our little pizza shop, if you haven’t been in I’d encourage you to stop by for a slice or two and experience the magic for yourself!

Thank you to all our regulars and weekly supporters, we ❤️ you!

Peace and love,

Colleen & Isaiah

When the store tells us they don’t have any more halal pepperoni, and don’t know when it will be back in stock, we (as in Chef Isaiah) make our own! We’ve had home made lamb and beef pepperoni on the menu this week. Come by for a slice…or two!😉

PS ~ we only have halal meats on our menu

I’m not trying to be dramatic but if you don’t get your hands on these two slices you’re missing out! The Market Pie (ingredients from the farmers market) is a new player in my top 5. 🏆

🍕Market Pie~ Chili crisp kale pesto (contains 🥜), ricotta.

🍕Vegan - Black eyed peas, parsley, basil, smokey tomato sauce.

Thursday is the final day for the Market Pie and the Vegan will be on the menu through early next week.

🍕❤️🤗

HISTORY ON A CRUST: Washington’s First Black-Owned Pizzeria!

Major milestone for Seattle’s food scene—Pizza by Ruffin (@pizzabyruffin) has officially made history as Washington state’s very first Black-owned pizzeria! Run by husband-and-wife duo Isaiah Ruffin (@ibruffin) and Colleen Constant, this veteran and woman-owned spot is bringing something truly special to the Fairview Market Hall in South Lake Union.

From starting out in a converted short school bus food truck to breaking barriers with a storefront in Seattle. They aren’t just making standard slices—they are serving up crispy Roman-style al taglio pizza infused with the rich, bold flavors of the Black diaspora. Think innovative creations like Jamaican curry mushroom, Carolina barbecue pulled pork, and West African-inspired pies!

📍 Where to pull up: 400 Fairview Ave N #107 (Inside Fairview Market Hall), South Lake Union
⏰ Best for: Weekday lunch slice runs
Tag your Seattle food crew and save this spot for your next lunch break!
