In his Naples studio he calls The Laboratory, @pjaywhiteart approaches contemporary art like a builder. He tests materials, layers surfaces and refines each piece through thousands of hours of hands-on work.

An ordinary object, reconsidered.

Originally a $16 light fixture. Reworked into a sculptural exploration of light, surface, and form.

SELF SERVE — In Development

An idea takes shape, one component at a time.

This first test fit is about proportion, placement, and how each element interacts within the larger structure.

The bottle and glass shown here are temporary stand-ins. Final selections and surface detailing will follow as the piece moves toward completion.

METAMORPHOSIS // RAGS 2 RICHES

Marilyn’s vulnerability. Cruella’s defiance.

Two opposing forces collide in a study of reinvention, ambition, and the construction of an icon. Glamour becomes armor. Innocence gives way to control. The woman transforms into the persona the world wants to see.

But what does it cost to become untouchable?

Mixed media on custom wood panel with custom wood frame.
36 × 48 inches. Unique original.

SELF SERVE II — IN PROGRESS.

| Part 01 |

A familiar gesture. A different perspective.

Returning to a concept through sculpture, material, and the tension between control and excess.

The process begins again.

ETERNAL BLOOM

Marilyn meets Medusa.

Hollywood’s eternal blonde reimagined through the gaze of mythology — where beauty becomes a weapon, the icon becomes the myth, and immortality comes at a price.

DANGEROUS TO YOUR WEALTH.

What begins as a familiar symbol of indulgence becomes something far more unsettling.

Dangerous to Your Wealth explores the relationship between consumption, desire, status, and the objects we willingly invite into our lives.

Luxury can be seductive.
So can destruction.

Two works. One warning.

FOREIGN MATTER : RESONANCE

Something unfamiliar takes form.

Thousands of individually applied dots create a surface caught between structure and disruption—an organic language that reveals itself differently from every angle.

From a $16 light fixture to a one-of-a-kind sculptural artwork.

For Foreign Matter: Aperture, I transformed an ordinary Target light fixture into a fully functional work of art — modifying the fixture, creating custom light switches, and finishing it by hand with hundreds of thousands of individually applied details.

This is the final look behind the process.

The reveal is next.

FOREIGN MATTER: ECHO

A reflection on repetition, transformation, and the space between what we recognize and what we imagine.

Built through hundreds of thousands of individually applied elements, Echo transforms the familiar language of the mirror into something more physical—less an object of reflection, and more an object of perception.

The surface changes with light and distance. What appears quiet from across the room becomes almost microscopic up close.

Echo exists in dialogue with Foreign Matter: Origin — two works connected by the same visual language, but arriving at very different places.
