An evening session with the boys. Only one pike was in the mood to strike, but what a pike. 107cm and 8.6kg.
The pike really liked the very well-known bait from an Italian bait builder. 😉

Rain or shine, the big pike will be mine. Fishing was slow today, but we managed to catch 6 fish in total. We laughed, we cursed, and we hooked some big momma's. I only targeted the big pikes and got it all in the end. The power of the last cast. 99cm.

Round 3 with chemo.
Hello sleepless nights and fatigue again.

I feel much better after I started treatment.
My weight is going up again, I can eat normal again without obstruction, I have no more pain and the tumor in my neck has dissapeared.

It is alot of ups and downs, but the ups are making up for the downs.

Soon the doctors will take a PET scan again to see what has happened inside my body and decide how they will treat me afterwards.

Enjoy your summer guys and gals.
Make everyday count!

After being diagnosed with cancer I have been struggling with fatigue amongst other things. I couldn't cast for long periods anymore and my focus isn't the same as before, a common side effect of chemotherapie.
After a while I just felt like going back to my roots could be a good way to keep fishing while getting used to this cancer version of myself with all the limitations that I have to accept.
It is bringing back alot of memories of me as a kid going everywhere to fish and spend whole summers next to the water.

This is specimen Hunt 2026.
