#avfshow2026 was a blast! The beginning of the week started with one problem on top of others. But thanks to our tight knit community, I finally got to really enjoy this car. Too often I spend time diving deep into problems to find their root cause. Occupational hazard I guess. But this isn't my job. It's my life and I am going to do better about choosing joy over problem solving. This week went quicker than expected and its hard to realize a whole year will pass before I get to catch up with old friends and kick it with new ones. In the meantime, I plan to just enjoy it. To look back on the decades of commitment, passion and hard work is hard when you're always hyper focused on the next micro project. It's because of this that the universe placed @tracerturbo in front of me so I could glean real life knowledge and fresh perspective. @stealthcheetah was in the right place at the right time when the car marked its territory as soon as it arrived in Helen. 🤣 My brother @zombi3_3d was always under the hood of at least 1 car a day. Its who he is. He wants everyone to be good and always lends a helping hand. My wife @serenademysoul is my biggest fan and such a great source of inspiration. I painted a lot of nice parts myself this year and broke a few studs too. But the love for this crazy hobby is still strong. Ask anyone of us why they do it and I'm sure you'll agree. If you don't, thats OK too. Lastly, to those of you not doing well, just know that I am here for you. When I was down and out, yall were there for me. 🙌🏾

It has been quite a year. Went quicker than we expected. I love this time of year because it allows me to reflect on all that we accomplished, hurdles we met and new challenges to overcome. Had some fun with a friend's camera recently and it has inspired me to try and pick up the camera once in a while. See you all next year! 📸

Feels nice to hop in and drive this car whenever I want. However, I need to get back to some things I've been putting off. Such as the exhaust. It's gotten really noxious lately, bad fuel economy, etc and truth be told the entire setup is nearly 2 decades old. Such is the territory with these old cars we love. The saga continues...

Last week was a straight-up movie. The humidity sucked. The cars were straight fire. The vibes were great. Among all of that, let me talk to you about "the people." It sounds cliche, but there is no other way to highlight the ones who make this world of ours go round. So here goes:

This event brings together people I know, people you know, and people you and I don't know. The fact of the matter is, you never truly know what people are going through. All we can do is offer selfless support without reciprocation. The world is small. Our VAG world? Even smaller.

Sometimes, people fail to realize that all lived experiences are not the same. Growth and adaptability are not the same. It goes both ways when it comes to mutual respect. The car community overall is diminishing in this aspect, and I hope we all do better. 🙏🏾 The reality is that many people live as if there are no consequences to their actions and have never experienced true karma.

Finally, thank you to all the love and support again this year. Starting with my wife @serenademysoul . Thanks to @eurotripper & @tracerturbo for putting on a great event. Shoutout to @eurocrewpr & @daseurohaus . Was super cool to be on the show field this year. It felt surreal, and it was worth every second. Seeing my family join me on the show field was everything. 🙌🏾
