TEETH - I WAS A TEENAGE TREE

my obsession w finding stuff abt mike d (one of my fav drummers.. sobrang tight mag-drums, a human metronome GRABE never ata lumaylay toh) has led me to this album.. this album gave me sum newfound appreciation for this facet of old local music.. (dinosaur jr who JK) dam i knew teeth is a classic but i didnt kno itd be this good tf haha so far i was a teenage tree is my fav teeth record!!! listening to shooting star a lot lately,, also that album cover SLAPS.. will deep dive into teeth discog any time now hahah

-all news is good news is such a good title / mantra
-i know this is kinda soul/ groovy music in its core but idk why i hear a myriad of things/influences… like mort garson, beastie boyz funk pauls botique era, african dance music, jazz.. hahah ang dami pa but those r a few i luv it .. music halo halo idk
-i play this a lot lately in the mornings,, i use this album as a marker in time 4 me as im in my mindfulness era healing era LMAO .. uplifts my soul ya feel.. makes me meditate n focus better n shit give it a listen lmk if it also has healing properties 4 u :p

NNAMDÏ - ARE YOU HAPPY

-they right when they say nnamdi is chameleonic in music,,, like he tries every food on the table .. so far this sound is my fav of him hope he makes 90s-2000s alt rock music too LMAO
-hope he collabs w lynyn more.. (mayb on a full length of this electronic synth hyperpop music or sumting) i think lynyn produced this EP entirely
