i don’t usually post heartfelt things but:
the only news stories i’ve been seeing are about things i’ve been told i shouldn’t talk about and it is devastating to look at. i haven’t been making much art lately because i haven’t been feeling very creative.
i know art isn’t just about making things that other people might like to look at, but i usually catch myself focusing on just that and then i don’t make anything at all. anyway, i’ve been reflecting on the posts i’ve seen over the last month for suicide prevention month and the posts i’ve been seeing recently about an event that hits so close to home that i feel sick to my stomach. i thought it made sense to make a post that resonates with my feelings a bit more and to maybe start doing that more often.

p.s. please remember that suicide prevention is more than just 1 month out of the year. & keep speaking up because it’s important but please also be mindful that there are people healing from things they cannot bear to speak/think about. be gentle. by @plahntdad
