One last post from our trip, and I’m choosing the boat photos because I already miss that blue 🥺🫶🏻

How incredibly blessed Brady and I are to get to travel and experience things like this together.

And the memories?? So many, and so many of them hilarious. Brady got pneumonia in Rome, a bird pooped on him, our laundry service gave us back exactly half our clothes, and time change fatigue humbled us. But in between, so much incredible new food that opened our eyes (we love tomatoes now??).

We toured the Colosseum. We stood under Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. We found out we LOVE cappuccinos. And yes, the ruins are in fact ruined... very cool.

Then we explored the most incredible island, and something about it reminded us of Hawaii, where we got married, so the whole thing felt like an exclusive honeymoon all over again.

THE SEAFOOD???? I’m pretty sure the food healed both of our guts. We swam every chance we got. And affogato ON THE BEACH is a true luxury. The sweetest woman made them, saw me every day, and always knew what was up 😂☕️🍦

Our hotels were beyond anything I could have asked for. The boat tours were so fun, and a “responsible” amount of champagne was consumed. I got a massage in Europe I was NOT prepared for (iykyk) 👁️👄👁️. Brady spoke Italian so beautifully people assumed he was Italian.

And then we were welcomed by Patricia and Brandon to Sicily 🤍 We drank wine and I finally understand the hype about older wine 😂 We stayed at an incredible hotel we later shot her branding photos at, ate an unreasonable amount of pizza, and tried granita con brioche (an insane combo that somehow works). We grew a friendship I know will last a lifetime.

Humbled in the best way traveling home: Sicily to Rome to Washington to Nashville, and then I drove us home to Huntsville 😮‍💨 26 hours of travel and a lot of time to feel every feeling on the way home. And of course, so happy to be back and easing into our routine. ✨

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to actually relax and enjoy this. I feel so refreshed and excited for the weddings and shoots ahead. I love my life 🤍 taken in Italy by @plan.a.prive

ALRIGHT LISTEN Y’ALL….I gotta let you in on a big recommendation lol: it’s Patricia. Let me properly introduce you to her.

Patricia is a dear friend of mine who is a wedding planner (yes, she lives in Italy but plans weddings in the U.S. too … really any destination), and she also planned our whole trip (we are hard launching her travel IG, @plan.a.prive (Her logistics and my photos), and honestly it was a dream. Rome, then Sardinia, and then Sicily for the last third of it, where she opened her home to Brady and me. So the very least I could do was photograph her in this chapter of her life. Living in another country. Surrounded by art, culture, and some genuinely ridiculous food 😂

Here’s the thing about Patricia: she’s a wedding planner ( @yourplanaevents ) with the most attention to detail and the biggest heart on her sleeve I have ever seen. I genuinely think everyone deserves the chance to work with her, but even more than that, to actually know her.

And the travel side @plan.a.prive that exact same Patricia energy pointed at your honeymoon, your destination wedding, the trip you have been dreaming about for years. She builds the whole thing around you. All heart, all detail, the kind of planning that quietly makes the dream actually happen.

We met in the most Patricia way possible. She saw my story about how toxic the wedding industry can be sometimes, and she reached out. Not to ask me for anything. She just wanted to know me. Human to human.

We finally met in person when I was in New York for Japna and Chris’s wedding in 2024. She was on a bachelorette trip, we somehow carved out an hour, and I ended up photographing her and the girls!!

we text, we talk, and we FINALLY have a wedding together in the next few weeks ❤️ and also potentially booked a beach trip for after the wedding too cause why not??

What an honor to be hosted in Sicily and welcomed with open arms. I cannot wait to watch this next level of Your Plan A Events.
