POSTS STORIES REELS
Massively thrilled to be playing at the Lansdown in Lewes tomorrow night!! Saturday night sonic shenanigans xx by @planetman.world
Four months ago today 'Relics of Tree Worship In Dub' was released to the world. The official album launch took place at @ittakesav1llage in Acklam Village, Under the Westway, Portobello and was a phenomenal night bringing together so many member of the community for a shared cause. More than an album 'RoTW' launched on Balance Recordings, a brand new artist-led eco label with a shared mission of restoring, preserving and protecting the health of our planet by planting trees around the world, creating a Land Art Forest in the process. Every time you listen to the album, you're contributing to a brilliant cause, way beyond offsets. Our three-pillared approach unites climate (carbon) action embedded with socio-economic and local, community-based benefits. That's why, to celebrate the release of the project, we partnered with the Jamaican Forestry Department @forestrydeptja to plant trees at the Birthplace and Final Resting Place of Bob Marley in Nine Mile, Jamaica - the home of reggae music. And what a fitting way to balance our debut 'dub' album. The Balance Artist Collective includes some of the most committed artists to the cause @youthmartin @lettsdon @gaudimusic @planetman.world @kemet_leveridge and @danielbjmorrell. This is only the beginning - there is so much more to come from us in the coming years. Stay tuned, as they say. Give us a follow, watch this space, and check out our online store where you can get your hands on a limited edition vinyl and/or CD. https://shop.balancerecordings.com ๐Ÿ”— Link in bio ๐ŸŽฌ Damien Sung by @planetman.world
Sometimes the point of creating is simply to create. ๐ŸŽถ Thatโ€™s the idea behind Sonic Playground, started by WERKS member @planetman.world With so many musicians, producers and creatives based at WERKS Central, he wanted to create a space where people could step away from music as a job and remember why they started making it in the first place: because itโ€™s fun. ๐Ÿ˜Ž No set plan. No pressure to produce something. People come and go, swap instruments, listen to each other, find a rhythm and see where it takes them. And we love what that says about our community. Being surrounded by people building their own things also creates opportunities to learn from each other, experiment together and sometimes just have a really good time doing what you love. ๐Ÿ’š Sonic Playground happens every second Wednesday of the month at WERKS Central, as part of our wider creative community. Because when our members grow, WERKS grows too. ๐Ÿ“ WERKS Central, Middle Street, Brighton Community โ€ข Collaboration โ€ข Connection #WERKS #SonicPlayground #BrightonMusic #BrightonCreatives #BrightonCommunity by @planetman.world
