Dialing in the sound yesterday for OpenHaugen.

It always makes me laugh when I meet someone new from the snowboarding community and they say “aren’t you PlanetSwagOverlord??” Why yes, yes I am 😅
What a silly moniker, I love that a lot of people refer to me by that title. I have a few aliases, my dj name is j.bby 🪩, my alter ego is Essica 🐰, and fewer people know me by my evil secret government name that I/we dont utter 🙅‍♀️, but most people just call me J ☀️

Whatever you want to call me, I’m just out here having fun blending all the different facets of me. Yesterday truly was an amazing opportunity kicking off the winter season by sharing what I’ve been working on during my free time. DJing has honestly been the best creative outlet I have ever found besides snowboarding and it has been such an amazing skill to develop while I’m waiting for the snow to fall. Thank you @someginger & @trollhaugentroll for trusting me with everyone’s ears, and giving me an opportunity to merge my 2 biggest passions. My love for music is deep, and curating the vibe for any kind of function makes me really excited. HMU to dj at any action sports event, I had so much fun, my adhd brain was is heaven mixing and watching everyone tear it up! Can’t wait for winter! by @planetswagoverlord

One last little taste of summer before fall takes over 🍂🌊 Spent the day paddling crystal clear lakes, exploring Cuyuna, and catching those first pops of color in the trees. by @planetswagoverlord

Season recap to remember all the fun things I did during 25-26 season, and mostly I just wanted an excuse to edit to these tracks I mixed together. Thanks to everyone that rode and filmed with me, can’t wait to do it all again soon ❄️

Rearranged my apartment with Andrew’s help this past weekend, and I’m digging my new setup. Working on a new mix, honing my skills and getting closer to what j.bby wants to sound like 🔊🪩🚀

Bad Habit indulgence at @the_terminal_bar_mpls w/ @andrewwalker.media behind the lens.

This is my favorite event in Minneapolis, every 4th Wednesday, always a great group of people to dance and mingle with, infectious funk and disco, friendly bartender, all at a little hole in the wall bar that reminds me of home. Come dance at the next one 7/23! 💃🕺🪩🚦 by @planetswagoverlord

Yesterday I got to play some music for friends at a sunset rooftop party that @andrewwalker.media and I hosted. It was a lot of fun, thank you everyone that could make it out! Means a lot 🌅 ❤️💃
